Great location, staff and amenities. Although this is a quiet area near the action, I recommend you bring earplugs to sleep at night - there was construction nearby in the middle of the night and Quito has dog barking concerts at night. The earplugs should be part of any traveller kit in Ecuador anyway :). Thanks for a great stay.

Position is perfect, the people are happy and helpful. Very clean and has an at home feel to it. Has hot showers and comfortable beds. Overall a very nice place to stay.

We loved our stay at Art Plaza! The hotel reception is manned 24/7, the door is locked so it is very secure. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a great size with hot and cold water. There is a small restaurant that wasn’t fully stocked but perfect to come back late from a trip and be able to grab a pizza and wine. All the staff were very helpful, overall it was a fantastic stay. 40 minute walk to the old town but very close to La Marical bars and restaurants.

I really really liked the environment they offer: the upper level terrace is a beautiful place to sit and read, the kitchen and staff (which is also the bar in the evening) is comfortable and a great place to be ... a LOT of natural light. The room was comfortable, nothing exceptional, but it is an older building which they have made work well. Hot water shower, extra blankets if needed ( I did), very very helpful staff ... they went above the average to be helpful when I needed something. I would stay there regularly when I wanted to be in Mariscal area.

Appreciated the shuttle service from the airport as we arrived at night. Breakfast was excellent. Excellent service by hotel personnel made the stay pleasant and welcoming.

Art Plaza hotel could use an upgrade of paint and floor finishes, as the place is outdated inside. Breakfast sandwiches provided were small and do not justify the $5 charge for breakfast! Staff were nice and helpful. Wifi in rooms was very slow and now computer or printer is available for guests' use. Convenient to restaurants and bars but area is shady at best (street night "workers" and other shady characters in the area at night!)

Excellent and authentic place in a wonderful city. Easy walk to many attractions. Great home-cooked breakfast using fresh produce and eggs. Amazing inside deck area to relax between activities. The service could not be better. I had to change my plans and check out early and can report that the hotel was very accommodating.
