The owners were very accommodating. There were issues with the tv and the outlets, but the owner resolved the problems quickly. A very nice rooftop view for breakfast. This property is definitely worth the value.

Great location, top service!
King of Kandy is a fantastic place to stay. The manager is a lovely gentleman, always happy to assist or provide advice. As they were quiet because of the timing of my trip I was upgraded free of charge. The food was fantastic, a lovely spread for breakfast and I would recommend eating dinner there. The roof terrace restaurant has a superb view of Kandy especially for Poya. The location is great but is up a short but steep hill so you would need to be mobile or get a tuk tuk up. Guests can use the pool at the neighbouring Suisse Hotel for a small fee. I highly recommend stay at King of Kandy when you are in Kandy.

A pleasant stay
Had a pleasant stay here. Service is as expected. The hotel location is steps away from Kandy lake which is great. Staff is helpful as I was helped with booking a driver who drove me to all must see places. Basic breakfast.

Manager was very helpful...feed us 10 o'clock at night and also made sandwiches to go next day for our train journey. Staff excellent and breakfast really nice too. Very close to Kandy lake and can take a stroll there. Also arranged for tuktuk to take us to train train station.

Clean, comfortable and great breakfast
I loved staying here. The room and bathroom were pristine clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious on a nice rooftop setting. The TV doesn't have many channels but the wifi works ok. Location is slightly hard to find if on foot but only 15 min walk into central Kandy. Would stay again.

The owner is a very kind man. He was very accommodating as was the staff. They serve great meals and even helped me secure travel to Ella. The one thing I'd note is I paid extra to have a mountain view hotel room, which in all honesty does not look out toward the mountain. It is far right of the balcony. Otherwise a wonderful stay!

This guesthouse is wonderful! The rooms are spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed and powerful hot showers. Great location close to the lake, easily walkable into the centre of Kandy, and some good places to eat nearby in the evening too. Tasty and very generous breakfast is served on the roof terrace, with lovely views down over Kandy. The best thing about King of Kandy is undoubtedly the owner and staff who made us very welcome and helped us to arrange transport/activities from Kandy. They arranged a day trip to Sigiriya and Dambulla which was very good value for money (and in a super fancy A/C minivan!) our driver Harith was fab! He was so helpful and professional, and went above and beyond to make our trip work! Would 100% recommend staying here!
