Mariposa Beach Resort

Mariposa Beach Resort was just what we were hoping for! It was a great experience all around. Thank you!

Words can not express how awesome this place is. The food is beyond words. The Rainforest Shrimp is to die for. Also do yourself a favor and have the Key Lime pie. The bartenders and staff are beyond believe how cool they all are. Bruce and Sharon the owners were great to us. We are heading out to sail for 7 days and will be back next week. Don’t waste your time with other resorts.

Beautiful location! We received 1st class treatment. The bar and restaurant are both fabulous!

The location was perfect. Close for a bike ride to tow. But also far enough away to be exclusive. Also it’s right on the beach. The food was delicious!! Really good options and cooked well!

A perfect way to begin our Belize vacation. The property was easy to locate and the staff was very helpful. We met the owners, who were very sweet. I loved this place because it felt more like a community and not a stuck-up resort, even though it came with all the resort amenities! It is also really close to the Placencia downtown, which was fun to explore.

What a fantastic place! The owners (Bruce and Sharon) have done an amazing job creating a tropical oasis. The rooms (I stayed in one of their "tree-houses") are huge, well appointed and maintained, and you have your own deck space and hammock. The bar is right beside the pool and 20 steps from an awesome beach. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The cook was amazing, and I think I only ate once off-property in four days. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

If you want a little slice of heaven, Mariposa fits the bill. Spotless white beaches (staff cleaning and raking every day) with water as warm as a bath. The treehouses Were beautiful and the decor was on spot. Food does not disappoint and very reasonable with price. The staff was amazing, so polite and attentive-would bring our food/drinks down to the beach and check on us routinely. No in room tv- which was perfect to disconnect. Location was perfect- about 10 minutes to town. However, about 3 hours from airport. I would recommend booking round trip flights for most cost and time effective way to get to hotel. I cannot say enough positive things about this property and Placencia.
