Casaliza Hotel Boutique

My wife and I have toured this hotel in the past. It’s beautiful and authentic. What we did not know was that this small hotel was undergoing a major repair and upgrade. We arrived right in the middle of the tumult. I am sure it will be better than ever but we checked out and would advise checking whether things are fine before booking we’ll probably be back. Love the setting and location

No breakfast at the bed & breakfast, nor coffee nor much WiFi. The hotel, which is lovely, is under construction knocking out WiFi in many of the rooms, which is not ideal. The place is immaculate and quite charming but the renovations and weekday work on premises is less then ideal. Also basic rooms are really basic.

The hotel has beautiful planting and lovely stairs and terraces. The rooms are big and clean. BUT the public spaces are under construction and they are not really running a hotel. No staff spoke English, the electronic key had to be reset every day, all the lovely stairs and terraces were badly lit, they used the courtyard for valet parking for another hotel. This may be a really nice hotel eventually but not now.

So, I reserve a junior suite with queen beds, I arrive I receive a closet with a king bed, 1 night stand and a chair, BECAUSE THAT'S ALL THAT WOULD FIT!! The manager looked me straight in the eye and told me yep, its a junior suite, it gets better, the TV is broken, NO WiFi, and no hot water to shower. The reply was, well these things are beyond my control, so just deal with it. Ruined our get away and did not care. Oh, none of the rooms pictured are in this hotel, so if you find yourself completely dissapointed, then click reserve.

Could not find place on Google Maps. Called hotel many times and no answer. Luckily a local helped us. Modern. Good bed. The staff was helpful but things were just broken. Never got TV to work after multiple attempts over a 3 day stay. Noisy neighbors.

It was a very nice place to stay. Beautiful rooms and great location in the city.

Location close to colonial downtown. Uniquely terraced property/bldgs. Delicious American breakfast served on outdoor patio. Comfortable bed. Tiled bathroom.

Charming, quiet with easy access to the city center - I highly recommend choosing Casaliza for your stay in San Miguel de Allende! I only had a few days to meet with with my wedding planner, visit venues and make scores of decisions for my upcoming event in June. I chose to stay at Casaliza because of its reasonable price and accessibility. However, my stay there was so lovely! Pretty, quiet, relaxing rooms near the beautiful garden, friendly staff and delicious breakfasts are fabulous perks at this price!
