Alles in Allem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel mit guten Service. Pool und Strand sehr gepflegt (Bademeister reinigt häufig das Wasser und den Strand). Für uns als Familie mit Kindern die richtige Wahl.
The location to the Port Lucaya is excellent, all the shopping is right there. I wish they had some kind of entertainment.
The property was easy to get around, everything was clean
The staff is very “blah”, this is a resort, smile for gods sake. All inclusive is a joke, draft beer, no bottle beer unless I purchased it. Property needs major updating. Very disappointed
Beautiful beach, awesome weather and nice staff. The shortfalls were, limited food choices in the main buffet. Dated rooms and facilities for price point.
Hotel was devastated by the last hurricane and the rooms smelled of mold. The hotel owners got their insurance money and bailed making the government of grand Bahamas taking over. The rooms have carpet that were flooded during the hurricane and not replaced. This hotel does not represent the photos online. We had to leave the hotel within hours of our arrival and stay at another hotel. We were offered a refund by the hotel but hotels.com will not give us the refund as of yet.. we feel bad for the employees knowing that this hotel is not what is represented by hotels.com.
First, we are in the off season right now so it was pretty empty. However, since the Bahamas in general add 15% service tip anyhow, no staff member really goes the extra mile to provide great customer service. Make sure you book all inclusive and if you are from Florida, call the hotel direct and don’t book via here. Also, even tho my search was for 2 people , one room, my secret price ended up to be for one person only so I paid another $417 for 3 nights to have the second person on All-Inclusive. The Golf course is NOT on side. You have to take a taxi (free) to get to the Golf course. The course is terrible. It’s also not included in your All Inclusive rate since you have to rent a Golf cart and you are not allowed to walk. However, if you use the golf cart with two people, you pay extra. I call that a per person fee and not a Golf cart fee. So if you bring your own clubs, you pay about $80 to play Golf. If you need clubs, you pay over $300 for the day. There is NO driving range. Never has been! Also, there are NO tennis courts to use. Front desk looked me funny and said those have not been here for years. Casino and hotel next door is no longer either. Hurricane Irma left a mess. Rooms are clean and nice. Beach front access is nice and the gym too. Food is ok! Nothing to write home about. I booked it bc if the Golf and tennis so i was pretty disappointed for the price charged for the resort.
The infinity pool is beautiful and the beach is lovely. Some staff were really friendly and helpful but others were surly and disinterested, particularly on the reception. Not a good first experience for those arriving. In the restaurant, whilst some were absolute stars, others would stand around in groups chatting and ignoring customers. I was on an all inclusive deal and the servers for the pool bar who walk around just ignored me but made a point of getting orders from and chatting to people on day passes who had come in from the cruise ships. This was no doubt for the tips. The all inclusive deal included 15% allocation for tips so it is unlikely that people on this deal will tip again. I went to the wave bar myself to get my drinks and the bar staff were lovely.
Service and food were good - rooms were clean and staff were friendly and helpful . The prices were fair for all inclusive. I was there for my daughters wedding and the staff were very helpful for people’s needs . The only complaints were the bathroom needs an exhaust fan. The drinks may be a little diluted but not complaining as with my group we drank a lot but seemed to have little effect. Lol ( we wanted and did get our moneys worth but no side effects the next day !
This was our first time in the Bahamas and we were very happy.
