The building, room and garden are very nice.
Unfortunately, the service in this guesthouse is not what we have experienced across the world. Firstly, Stephane's favourite sentence was; "This is not hotel, but a guesthouse. Just ask".
The problems concerning service were just tedious and annoying. Towels were not washed, although told every three days. Some items like the bathmat or beach towel were washed but never reappeared. There wasn't enough toilet paper (one couple even bought their own!).
Breakfast started too late at 9. Once asking for breakfast at 7:30 we were only given coffee and juice, and then Stephane left for a cigarette (night before told no croissants at 7:30, shop closed, mmm ok). Upon coming back we asked for something to eat ("Just ask.") and he reluctantly gave us cereal. Not providing a proper breakfast, would be a disgrace in any establishment. Guests should not have to "just ask", but it has to be offered. "This is not a hotel...", means don't ask.
After the cleaning of the rooms the rooms were not locked, and one time our key was left in the keyhole on the outside. The room's door next to us was left ajar. This could be sorted out very simply, but Stephane does not want to listen to complaints. Best to speak to his wife Marie.
Reading some bad reviews on the internet and their answers, it clearly shows that constructive criticism is not welcome. It is never their fault. I wouldn't recommend staying there for longer periods of time.
