I could fill my review with descriptions of this lavish property but am sure you will read dozens of illustrations of this stately piece of landmark history, so i would rather mention some of our personal interactions with inn keepers Gary and John. I was in town for a family wedding with my husband. My adult children along with my elderly father stayed elsewhere, however, I brought my dad over to see the manor. Gary and John doted on my 83 year old dad although he was not staying. It was so sweet and my dad loved every moment. Upon mine and my husbands return to the manor later that night, John discovered I had attended art school and took all the time with us I wanted to walk me around the manor to introduce me to artwork that prior to my visit, I could have only seen in museums. I knew the hour was growing late but greedily wanted to see more. John was so generous to continue the tour regardless of how late I kept him. The next day I asked for an iron to press my husbands dress shirt for the wedding. John insisted on ironing it for us saying "if you were staying at the Ritz Carlton, they would iron it for you, well, it's no different at Rosewood!" You will awake each morning to the sent of Gary's gourmet breakfast then enjoy his rich stories about the area and what to see while in town. Gary exudes a warmth that makes you feel very fond of him immediately. Gary even asked I call upon safe arrival home! So, hope they read this; the Loyd's are home and missing Rosewood!!
Amazing!!
My husband and I stayed at Rosewood Manor for three nights over the Labor Day weekend. Our stay was wonderful. John and Gary are the perfect hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. The Manor is beautiful, filled with great pieces of history. Ask John for a tour and you will be amazed at how much detail and thought was put into each room. Breakfast each morning was amazing. Gary is a great chef who loves to make sure you get a great meal. We were there to attend the NASCAR races at Darlington. Gary and John made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. This jewel in Marion, SC should be on everyone's bucket list. You won't be disappointed.
We were in the area for a wedding. The Rosewood Manor House was beautiful! The neighborhood was also lovely but the surrounding area wasn’t as nice. Anyway, we had a wonderful time. The owners were very personable and accommodating. Unfortunately,we had to leave early on our final day and weren’t able to stay for THE breakfast, so John prepared us an impromptu meal. We ate in the kitchen while he and Gary prepped the elaborate breakfast for the rest of the guests while enjoying great conversation. John gave a tour of the house one morning. The artwork is amazing! The house is beautifully decorated! I’d like to stay again if I’m in South Carolina. Thanks again, John and Gary for a memorable stay.
Beautiful House and furnishings. Amazing artwork. Breakfast was delicious and service excellent. Owner was very hospitable and even helped me by calling a dry cleaner to get the wrinkles out of the gown I was wearing to my son’s wedding. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay. Unique but beautiful.
This bed and breakfast is so full of character and charm that I wish we had stayed more than one night to soak it all in! To top it off, the friendly and knowledgeable owner cooked us the most delicious breakfast in the morning. My wife wishes we could live in this house. If we are ever back in the Myrtle Beach area we will be staying here again. Thanks!
What a wonderful place. My wife and I had an amazing stay. Gary is top notch , he took time to show us this special place and all the history. Breakfast was Unbelievable! We will return soon.
