We were impressed, it was very clean in and out, we felt safe staying there. Theresa was very helpful with all our questions and needs. We played putput outside til dark. We had fun! It was close to stores and 15 minutes away from blackwater falls. I recommend other people to consider this awesome place! 😊

Worst service ever!
When my family and I arrived to check-in, no one was there. I knocked on the office door and called both numbers several times. Went across the street to the BFS gas station to ask for help. The cashier was unable to get ahold of anyone at the Inn. Very disgusted with Canaan Village Inn

For the money you can't go wrong. If you're in the area to enjoy the wilderness then you're probably sleeping here only. We thought it was fine, the staff very, very nice. I hear its getting remodeled. There's just not much in this part of the country which is why we traveled here to begin with.

Location, Location, Location
The best qualities of this hotel are the location and the friendliness of the staff. It was less than a mile from the entrance of the Canaan Valley State Park. And the staff greeted us cheerfully and checked us in efficiently. The accommodations were pretty spartan. The mattress was rather lumpy. Internet access was poor though it was probably not due to the quality of the hotel wifi but the area infrastructure. We also had very weak cell phone signal around Blackstone Falls and Canaan Valley. But, it was clean enough and had a refrigerator and microwave if you want to minimize spending for food.
