Fantastic beach and location. Awesome pool. Ok restaurant and bar. Lots of climbing from beach to room.

You had to walk a lot to the beach, and the service in the beach was slow.

Amazing time at this wonderful hotel & beach. The staff were absolutely lovely. Food was fantastic. Can’t say enough about it - memories for a lifetime. I hope to go back soon.

Location location location. The place is beautiful and everyone in the hotel are nice and they really want you to enjoy the vacation. Great place to stay We will go back

Overall, it was a good stay. We were not very close to the beach and had to climb a pretty steep hill to get to our room. This place would not be good for someone who has difficulty in climbing stairs. Also, there was a set of stairs in our room but there was no railing on the stairway....I can see how some people may slip and fall on these stairs. The other BIG negative is the sand fleas...they will get you if you are not constantly putting on repellant.

This property sits on the best part of the best beach on Roatan. There is reef and snorkeling right off of the beach. The rooms are condos with small kitchens, living rooms, and decks, which is great to have and not be stuck in a typical hotel room. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, I think they are understaffed at their (only) restaurant and service there is slow. Drinks on the beach take a while. The food is good, but not excellent. The units are not beachfront or really ocean view- because there are trees between the units and the beach. All the walkways to the beach, restaurant, and pool are sand. The morning buffet is very good with lots of options, including French toast or pancakes, fruits, baked goods, eggs, fresh made-to-order omelets, bacon, and more. Again, service in getting your coffee/tea is very slow, but if you don’t want those, you can get orange juice on the buffet and then you don’t wait on service. Expect US pricing on the drinks and food. For ex: $12-15 apps, $6-9 drinks, $20 entrees. Other hotel restaurants down the beach have similar prices. But if you go off the beach a little, there are a couple of little places that are good & less expensive. The beach is nice and we liked the location. There is construction around the hotel, but I think that is the case for most of the area. This hotel is in the process building another couple of unit buildings and restaurant. All in all, we had a good stay and would go back. Would recommend.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The beach is gorgeous, but can be very busy during the day. As of Feb. 2020, there is construction that causes a considerable amount of noise. The upper level junior suites are most affected by the noise. The management was kind enough to work with us in getting relocated due to the noise. The restaurant was good with a big menu. I suggest getting a suite with a kitchen, if you want to save money and cook a few meals. However, there are many, many eating options within a 10 minute walk on the beach. Overalll, I would recommend the Grand Roatan resort.

Overall excellent. Pros: Best beach area of any hotel in West Bay. Great rooms Gorgeous pool Hot buffet breakfast included Excellent staff Cons: Can be along uphill hike to your room A few minor inconsistencies in service ( in-room coffee supplies not replenished, room service meal missing cutlery) Ongoing construction All told though, would happily repeat the exact same trip again

The staff is great... everyone is very friendly. Drinking Water is provided in the room. The grounds are beautiful. The beach was never overcrowded. Chairs and an umbrella were always available. Staff serves you at the beach. A rubber wrist band is you're key to the room so you don't have to keep track of a key. Snorkeling from the beach is perfect right at the resort...just walk straight out. Loved it!

The bar/restaurant service was not ideal. If you are an owner - you were definitely treated differently than a guest. If you could sit in the cold pool at the pool bar it would take 25 minutes to get a drink. Those who stayed in a suite at the top of the hill, there was a lot of construction noise on both sides of you. It will probably be a lovely resort when done. Unfortunately the breakfast was just ok, same items most days and the vendors were a constantly in front of you on the beach. The beach was clean, the water was beautiful and the snorkeling was wonderful.
