Best Western Heritage Inn

My boyfriend and I stayed here for just a night (March 17-18) to evacuate storms in Alabama. The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and the lobby area is nice. The room is standard, but for the price, it's not bad at all. We even got a parking spot right in front and our dog was allowed to stay with us. The only slight issue we had is that the deadbolt was damaged, so we were unable to turn it and lock our door (room 111). It was really late when this happened and I didn't feel comfortable going to the front desk, so we just ignored it. It was a little worrisome since we don't know the area and we kinda wish they had been more receptive when we told them the issue upon leaving. Other than that, pretty good stay.

The loud bass from a car In the parking lot at 2am for over an hour was ridiculous and annoying. I wonder why it was aloud to go on for so long.

The keycard lock did not work. Could only get in with master key from front desk rep. On the inside the handle was bent, and would stick sometimes when trying to open. The baseboard has built in electrical outlets, and our baseboard (rm 214) was disconnected and wiring was exposed. If you moved the baseboard back in place the lights would flicker and microwave would turn off and on. Fridge did not work. I was too worried about the safety of my family to even sleep. Stayed up while they rested after 10 hours on the road and we then checked out at 5am. All other hotels were booked up. Chose this room especially for the three double beds which is not offered at any other hotels I’ve ever visited. Staff started out sincere, but when we called twice about fridge not working, they never even came to check on it. Ridiculous! The kids were so tired we just suffered through, and I kept alert to make sure we were safe from an electrical fire or being trapped inside. Room was clean, and everyone said the beds were very comfortable. I explained all of the issues to the night rep that was on duty when we checked out, and hopefully they fix these issues before allowing anyone else to stay in that room. We have visited Best Western locations all across the country, and this was by far the worst experience for us.

When we got there, our room keys didn't work. Turned out the door lock was broken, so then they basically had to kick in the door to get us in the room. There was hair in the tub drain, none of the lamps were plugged in or working, the TV wouldn't turn on, and the floor was filfthy. It was a hard wood style laminate and our feet were black from walking on it, so we kept shoes on the rest of the time. We had family with two other rooms there at the same time and they had similar complaints on cleanliness, but at least their doors had working locks. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have three double beds in one room, but those were the only positive things. We would not stay here again. They didn't offer to discount our room either.

I’ve stayed here before. The diner is quite good. Rooms were decent. Staff was very friendly

I wish I have took some pictures. The hotel itself is so run down, they charge way over price. The manager was rude to her employee, me and an other customer. Never ever ever stay there again.

We like staying here but our room had baby roaches really bad. I hope you'll pass this along so they take care of this issue.

Stay elsewhere! Terribly loud. Located next to a busy gas station, and not far from the highway, the walls are thin. Hardly slept due to the noise. The door would not shut all the way in the room, might need new weather striping.
