- a bit away from the city center, but they offer a shuttle service every full hour from 7-9 am and 5-8 pm (note that you need to register for a trip at least an hour before scheduled time) - hotel has thin walls / doors, you can hear people walking outside, in the next room or the vending machine, but street noise is very low - room was tidy and bed was comfy though - disposable tableware :(
When we checked in and got to our room it smelt so bad, someone had clearly been smoking in the room prior to us! It was not that clean, and there was no remote for the TV. I told the front counter and they told me to download a universal app on my phone to use. At 2:30 in the morning people were in the hall so loud, then when we left it smelt like weed in our hall so bad, we won’t be back.
Hotel was clean, comfortable. Decent free wifi, which I was very glad for. Staff was super pleasant. Location is good for travelers by road or air. Eating options were fair. Neighborhood was a mixed bag of offerings. Mostly chains. Sit down restaurants were largely closed due to covid/holiday? Not sure. My major complaint was my neighbors, people talking full volume in the halls late at night and in their room. I also had to unplug the refrigerator because of a humming.
Close to Riley Hospital. Close to places to eat. Downtown Indy
The room was comfortable and clean, but they said there would be a full breakfast and there wasn’t even cereal. There were two pre-packaged muffins and orange juice that tasted like glue.
One night stay. Just passing through to see Indianapolis. No amenities due to COVID.
Overall it was a good stay. I was disappointed that there was no notice prior to the stay that the pool was closed and the breakfast was grab and go. I have a limited diet and could not have what was offered. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable.
Absolute worst experience at a hotel. Aside from the staff being extremely rude the hotel actually is a housing unit for individuals between homes. I experienced seeing drugs, prostitutes, and what looked like shady activity with children. Honestly had I seen one more thing I would have taken down license plate numbers and called the police.
There were bugs in the room, Knats, flies, and grasshopper...seriously not joking here! Super loud, walls are paper thin, no one was ever at the front desk, always had to ring the bell to look for someone. The nighttime manager was not wearing a mask while at the desk. Multiple people were always standing right outside the front entrance smoking. Thankfully we only had 1 night there and left as soon as we could.
The neighborhood this hotel is located in looks a bit shady. The look and feel of the lobby was just okay. Check-in was quick and the employee who helped us was nice. However, after receiving our keys and making it to our room, we found dirty towels in the bathroom, cigarette butts in the toilet, and no liners in the garbage cans. We requested a new room and got one right away. The new room appeared to be okay. We saw lots of questionable people during our stay. There was some random guy just hanging out in the lobby for hours. I’m pretty sure this one lady was a prostitute, and the man with her was her customer. The next morning I requested fresh towels. I was told I needed to bring the dirty towels down before being given new ones. Why they couldn’t send someone up to retrieve the towels is beyond me, but I didn’t like that. I also requested late check-out and was denied. They said they had a full house and something about COVID, so unfortunately they were unable to grant my request. The best part of the stay was the comfortable beds. We slept like babies!
