Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian

Very comfortable room (great bed, strong shower, blackout curtains). The breakfast was lovely. The hotel arranged a car to take us to the terra-cotta warriors.

I believe this is the nicest hotel in XiAn. Beautiful hotel in a great area, inside the ancient walls of the city and within walking distance of the center, the drum and bell towers, and Muslim street. Service was top notch. Tough to find food hotels outside of major cities in China (Beijing, Shanghai, etc..), but this definitely did not disappoint . Surprising for XiAn.

The hotel was up there with the best in Asia - a glass of champagne on arrival and incredibly attentive staff at every level from the cleaners to the GM. The rooms were furnished to top international standard and incredibly tastefully done. I was staying for my 30th birthday - unfortunately the hotel left it to 8.30 pm to send me a little cake but by that point we had put my daughter down to sleep and they KEPT calling the room telephone to try and deliver it and waking her up. I had to go down and tell them to stop calling and that it was too late for us. The only small issue on an otherwise fantastic stay.

This is a fabulous hotel. The room was beautiful and the service is great. It also has an old world flavor and elegance. If you would like to feel like a visiting dignitary, stay here!

This is a beautiful hotel the prospect is gorgeous and the building is absolutely beautiful. The staff are attentive and the afternoon cocktails were a great bonus. The “free” minibar is not much to write home about so don’t get too excited about that but that’s hardly an issue.

Great location! Walking distance to Drum Tower, Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter. In a compound away from the street so very quiet. One of the few hotels that has a pool which is unusual in Xi’an. Staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Spacious rooms.

Superb, fabulous, positive mind of staffs. Breakfast is great. They offers free small dinner at 17.30-19.30 which is enough for light meals before bed!

It was not my first trip to China and certainly not the last, however, being a frequent traveler it was my first time I felt such an exceptional hospitality and was surrounded by incredibly welcoming and caring staff that I feelt for a moment I am leaving not a hotel but home. The property is located in a quiet area further away from busy roads creating an impression you're out of town. The room was large and tastefully decorated, and had everything you can only need while far away from home. I am certainly staying here if I come back to Xi'an!
