Garlande Hotel Avignon Centre

We stayed just one night but the room and the service was excellent. And the breakfast was very good as well. If you stay in Avignon this Hotel is definitely the right choice.

The hotel Garlande is a great little hotel in the heart of Avignon. It is set in a cobbled backstreet close to the Papal Palace. The rooms are nice (we had a 3rd floor family room). It oozes charm and is quaint (we had to climb a spiral staircase to our room). The people running the hotel are amazing and are what makes this a place to defiantly visit. From discussing restaurants (and booking them for us) to advising on Provence places to visit, they couldn't do enough. The breakfasts were great, a delight indeed, with the personal touch used to perfection. Definitely stay here if you can.

Fantastic, very helpful reception staff and a comfortable room. Air conditioning was perfect, even on this very hot day. We found everything about this hotel to be extremely good. Staff, cleanliness, room, bathroom etc, all excellent. Location was perfect. So close to all amenities, and still no night time noise from any of them.We ate at a beautiful restaurant only 50m from hotel. Highly recommend to anyone.

My stay at the Hotel Garland was wonderful. I contacted hotel with a question in advance and the response was just what I needed. Both French and English language spoken. The location is at the heart of pedestrian section of walled city. Recommendations for things to do and see were readily available. Restaurants are many and varied, so the options are diverse for tastes and ethnicity. I arrived just when the train strike began, so it required changes in day trip travel. Both the train and bus stations are just outside the walled city, so easily accessible, both for travel and obtaining information. The walk up to rooms can be steep stairs but there is assistance getting bags up, so no worries on that front. My room was nicely appointed, and for me a mini fridge and hair dryer were great accessories, since i stayed several days. Thanks to owners and staff for a great stay.

The Garlande Hotel was charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, neat and well appointed. The bathroom was generous for such an old building in a tight space. The incredibly steep staircase was hilarious. I have never come across a vertical handrail! The location is very central in Avignon. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend to anyone who can manage steep stairs. No elevator here.

I stayed at the Garlande Hotel for a week while taking care of some personal business in Avignon. The owners, staff, property, and location are superb. Excellent breakfast, too.

This Hotel is in the old city center and a short walk to many historic and beautiful places. Stephan the owner was super nice, friendly and helpful.

Clean and very well located in the heart of the pedestrian area of Avignon. Rooms differ from each other, and some are small, but the two rooms we stayed in at different times were clean and well appointed.
