Seagull Beach Front Motel

I liked that the motel is right on a cliff side with access to a beautiful beach and views. The check in was confused as they had no record of my reservation, so that was a bummer!

The room was clean. Some maintenance issues such as dripping faucet in the bathroom sink, the shower needs work as the by-pass valve allows water to go out the spout instead of the shower. The right hand window as you face out doesn't close properly.

The room decor was very outdated! First thing we noticed when using the bathroom was the pee and poo stain on the toilet when using it! The sink was dirty, ring around the toilet bowl. There was no carpet and the small throw rugs were slippery, I tripped on them and could have fell. The light shades were crooked and cracked. And worst of all the 2nd and 3rd night there was no parking and we had to park elsewhere. Our car also got dinged our first night stay. The location was the only nice thing about it, but we would never stay there again even if offered a free night!!

Wonderful staff. Great view. Convenient to local attractions. Large room. Bed was pretty hard. Older motel.

The room we had was on the first floor, but we couldn't hear the visitors above us or around us, so much better sound proofing than most apartments. The sliding door opened out onto a shared deck overlooking the beach, and there was a road down to the beach right next to the hotel parking lot. While we missed the sunset (we arrived 45 minutes late), I did get an excellent picture of the moon low over the southern beach area.

Loved the beach view and proximity! BUT: Sink towel had beard clippings embedded in it. Yuck! Toilet wouldn't flush, so I had to physically adjust the lid in the back.

It’s obvious that extra steps were taken to make sure the room was clean and sanitary. Very nice. The bed was extremely firm in my opinion. But that’s coming from somebody who has a Tempur-pedic plush at home.Only real problem was the toilet kept going on and off and on and off. Had to keep the bathroom door closed so I could sleep. Obviously there was water leaking inside of the tank that forced it to refill itself every few minutes (Room 333). Overall a nice place to stay at though. Like every other motel, can’t stand the late check-in times when I’m always an early arrival. Nice ocean view. I would definitely stay there again. Left my blow dryer at home thinking that was common amenity at motels. My mistake.
