The room was great. I did have to wait over 40 minutes at the front desk to check in cause there was no one around to great me. I wish they had a bell to press so they would know someone was at the front desk.
Not clean
Quiet hotel. Seems clean and safe.
Hampton Inn did not provide daily room cleaning or linen changing because of "Covid." This property is located in a county where the mask mandate had been lifted and if a room can be safely cleaned one day and can be safely cleaned everyday. This is just a money saving ploy and the company is not being wholly truthful.
I checked in late 9:30 pm. I though the front desk clerk was not trained very well. I was given room keys but wasn’t told the room number or the location and the clerk acted like it was an imposition when I asked her what the room number was and location. I was not pleased with a sack for breakfast(a muffin,fruit cup,water and granola bar). Then gone all day and come back to a room with no maid service bed unmade no fresh towels no coffee refills no soap or shampoo and told maid service was ever 3 days.
I may understand if the hotel has no or less staff or trying to save money due to the present pandemic. It’s ok if our room was not cleaned after our first night there ( stayed there for 2 nights). We have not seen any hotel staff except for these 2 ladies that were both very unprofessional. They are not service oriented. Me and my husband belong to a service oriented business, we expect them to be friendly and know how to greet people. But neither of them were. Every time we enter the hotel or go down the hotel lobby, they are not seating in the front desk but were seating at the dining hall watching TV. For the 2 mornings my husband went down to get “packed”’breakfast, she was in a couch, legs up, watching tv, and didn’t even bother to ask my husband if he needed something. My husband had to initiate the greeting. And to make matter worst, there’s a note on the hotel entrance that a mask is a requirement, but the hotel receptionists were not wearing any every time we see them. We selected this hotel because we had an excellent experience from the previous Hampton hotel in Laramie, Wyoming and S.F California. We are not expecting that kind of service though, knowing that Uvalde is just a small town compared to the above mentioned cities, but at least they should have equal “people oriented” service.
It was a pleasant stay with no issues experienced.
I waited about 10 minutes for a clerk to show up at the front desk. Once she finally arrived she was efficient and friendly. In the morning, there was a brown bag breakfast with a pre-packaged muffin and pre-packaged fruit cocktail and a bottle of water. It was fine for a road warrior looking for a place to bed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, but not a garden spot.
Clean with comfortable beds. Helpful and friendly staff. Definitely, would stay again!
