Sunrise Lodge by Hilton Grand Vacations

Definitely not as "Covid Clean" as all their signs say. Both of my rooms were poorly cleaned - 1 still had hair in the sink and tray next to it with toiletries. Floors not properly cleaned, fingerprints on cabinets, and the amount of dust on the fan was GROSS. Cleaning staff not wearing masks though all guests must. Talking to the front desk was an absolute JOKE to extend my stay or have anything brought to our room. Loud banging for HOURS from the room above us, and it took 4 calls over different hours to get it to stop. We had been really hoping to love it here. Overall it's been a big disappointment.

Great location and mostly helpful staff. There is a lift right outside the hotel. Rooms were decent but there was a booger on the shower curtain from prior occupants and several outlets nonfunctional in the room which lead to no phone charging our first night. The doorman, Ryan went above and beyond to be helpful. I think water is offered on arrival but the guy checking us in didn’t offer it it. I noticed that there’s bottled water in the gym for guests (unfortunately right after check out) so that’s an option. Also, the gym is nice and there’s a nice changing room with a shower in case you want to ski and then change before the airport. There’s no restaurant though so be prepared. Overall, not a bad stay and the location was the best!!!

The location of this property was fantastic, about a two minute walk to the main gondola. Carla at the concierge desk was fantastic. The mountain architecture as a whole is lacking a master plan which is unfortunate. They are just in-filling space with hotels in no particular fashion or order. They had a perfect opportunity to integrate a mixed-use format with restaurants and retail at base level and residential above creating an outdoor open space that could’ve been utilized by the surrounding restaurants. Overall it’s a good value.

I liked the size of the rooms, the washer dryer, fireplace, kitchen. Finishings and bed were nice. Hot tubs are small and busy. No on site bar or restaurant. Ski in requires stairs and the main chairs are over in the canyons village area so can be a long walk back if you don’t hit the right run.

We just don’t like the point that the only option we have is valet parking

No parking, valet only with a mandatory $15 charge. Room was ok and way smaller than pictured. No hot water, only lukewarm And the concierge lady was extremely rude.

I was frustrated that they required valet parking, but when we got our car back it had clearly been taken on a joy ride. We got our car back with multiple service lights on and it was significantly higher in miles than when we left it. Overall though the rest of the staff was friendly and the rest of our stay was enjoyable.

Felt a little rush checking out! Most Hotels have an 11:00am check out. They had a 10:00am check out and we received a call at 10:10 reminding us of that. Just felt unnecessarily rushed to leave.

Nice room two story. Bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Very cool. Right at ski village
