Pure garden is always a great choice. Perfect location, nice staff. Older property without the AI stuff but has everything you need.
I will preface this by saying that I debated whether to leave a review because I don’t want staff to be negatively impacted by it. Still, I feel it’s my duty to tell it like it is because wish I had read an honest review if, for nothing else, to temper my expectations. So here goes: The pictures online are completely misleading. They show bright rooms with towels shaped like swans on the bed, decorative linens and curtains and a big, beautiful pool. I suspect that those pictures are from Pure Garden’s heyday because that is not how it looks today. To put it plainly, this property is severely outdated and in need of much renovations. We passed the sign coming in because it’s so faded. The facades of the buildings are moldy, the mosquito screens on the windows are by and large ripped and ineffective, the doors are scratched up, the beds are hard (some more than others as we did switch rooms because of it), the closets have no doors, the bathroom door had no knob, the air conditioning in some rooms don’t operate properly (the A/C in the first room worked but not in the second), there are cobwebs all around and, as such, spiders, basic things you expect at a hotel are missing, such as an iron/ironing board, blow dryer, duvet/blanket, wall hooks or towel rods to hang stuff on, more than one garbage can (aside from the miniature one in the bathroom) and hand towels, the pool is filthy and the wifi sucks. On the pro side, it’s conveniently located and the staff are nice.
Staff was friendly, accommodating, room had functioning AC.... pool had a locals pool party going on, so that was fun. But not a quiet property and I'm a light sleeper.
Every one was really friendly no issues, staff always helped when I need things.
The bathroom faucets were raggedy and filled with soap scum. Although they were cleaned everyday they were he handles were rusty and missing parts ( shower and sink). The AC, TV and hot water were good
I liked the friendliness of the workers. The location is great!
Cheap cheerful close to the beach
Lovely hotel friendly staff I left my wedding ring in hotel went back 3 hour after we left and the cleaner had it there lovely staff and very trustworthy I would recommend to anyone
Very good and reasonably priced hotel in Negril. Has a decent pool if you don't like the beautiful beach. Rooms are comfortable and clean, the housekeeping staff ensure the property is clean. Property seems little old but in spite of that it's kept well maintained. Will definitely consider staying again next time in Negril.
The room was very clean but very outdated. Check in process was smooth. If you drive your own vehicle parking is free but very limited. Upon checking in to our rooms there were no towels had to wait for over an hour for housekeeping to bring them to our room. There was no refrigerator, blow dryer or iron in the room, they had to be requested. Its 5$ usd per night for a fridge it does not come stocked. You get what you pay for essentially. You can hear every movement on the corridors and from the rooms next door. The "hot water" was lukewarm. The great thing about this location is that you close to nice little eateries in and around the area and the hotel is directly next door to Time Square where you can take advantage of duty free shopping. Eating at Kennys Italian Cafe and Cafe goa are good eateries for lunch and breakfast respectively. The proper could use some updating but overall it was an ok experience. I'm a local by the way.
