Poas Lodge

Eine einfache, gemütliche Unterkunft. Die beiden Gastgeber sind sehr nett, hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Das Essen ist super und auch das Frühstück ist toll! Vom Speisezimmer hat man einen fabelhaften Blick auf San José! Selbst unsere beiden Freunde, die nicht in der Poas lodge übernachtet haben, wurden von den beiden zum Frühstück eingeladen!! Toll. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt!

This was a great place to stay! The view from the room was amazing. There was a coffee maker with coffee and tea in the room so it was possible to sip some tea and watch the sunset from my own space. The bed and linens were very comfortable. I had dinner in the onsite restaurant as well as the included breakfast, and both meals were delicious with generous portions. Other restaurants aren't far away too if you have a longer stay and want to explore. The main restaurant and common space is heated at night with a fireplace fire, which is super cozy. The couple who run the lodge were very friendly and accommodating. I would love to stay here again and explore more of the area.

This was an amazing place to stay and are grateful we brought our visitors from England here!! The views are one in a million. Matt and Leah were very accommodating in every way!! Leah’s cooking was a fantastic blend of a lil bit of Texas flair to the Tico dishes, yummm!! We highly recommend this establishment and look forward to bringing other visitors in the future.

The property has magnificent views from high over San Jose and the surrounding valley. Service was personalized and outstanding provided by the owners Leah and Michael. Food was excellent- four choices for dinner prepared from fresh local ingredients by Leah.

We travel the world and this was one of the most splendid views we have ever seen!! There is much to do in the area, bonus was the Starbucks facility nearby....great tour and beautiful buildings and views on property. Leah was the perfect hostess with delicious breakfast. Lodge had great seating area with roaring fire on our cool evening. If you want a memorable take with a homey feel and best views EVER, stay here!!

Wow!!! That view!!! You just want to stay there for that view alone. We only stayed one night but the owners made the stay really pleasing. Good food. Spacious room with amazing view. Amazing location. If you are going to Poas stay here. If you are not, still worth staying here :)

The Poas Lodge is a diamond in the rough. The owners are so nice and make you feel right at home. The views from this lodge are incredible and the location to the volcano can’t be beat. Their food is delicious and very fresh. I wish we would’ve stayed longer!

If visiting the Poas Volcano, or on your way north from San Jose this is the place to stay!! Stunning view, clean room, and amazing hosts (Matthew & Leah). And the dinner! The dinner was amazing, all the ingredients are fresh, flavourful, and locally sourced. Would recommend to anyone!

We were a little hesitant when we arrived.. looked small and tired.. BUT we’re we ever happy with our stay. Matthew and Leah are amazing hosts. Every detail looked after. A really homey atmosphere with really good food and such a warm welcome. Beds were comfy and bedding lovely and cozy. The fireplace and the stack of board games made our evening!
