Litet och bra hotell för familj på fem personer
Vi hade en utmärkt vistelse på detta hotell. Det var lugnt och lite avsides från de mer livliga delarna av Malia. Vårt rum hade fantastisk utsikt över Malia och medelhavet. Vi var fem personer och alla hade ordentliga sängplatser (ej bäddsoffa eller liknande). Enkelt kök med kyl och frys och möjlighet till enklare matlagning. Pool med servering och vi hade alltid tillgång till solsängar.

Wat een heerlijke plek om te verblijven. De gastvrijheid en beleefdheid van het personeel helemaal top. Kleinschalig en rustig gelegen tussen de bergen maar wel op loopafstand van de zee en het centrum. Elke dag werd onze studio schoongemaakt. Voor de airco hoefde wij hier niet te betalen wat meestal anders is bij andere hotels. Wat ons betreft een 4 sterren waardig hotel. Wij hebben al vele studio's en appartementen gehad in Malia maar deze is by far the best! Het ontbijt en eten waren ook heerlijk. Via expedia geboekt middels een hele mooie aanbieding, echt blij met ons verblijf hier! Mochten wij terug komen naar Malia dan wordt dit onze eerste keuze. MARE MONTE thank you to make our holiday the best!

Établissement calme et parfaitement situé
Petit hôtel familial au calme à deux kilomètres des plages. Service et personnels aux petits soins pour satisfaire nos besoins spécifiques. Le seul bémol est la salle de bain de l’appartement 12 qui mérite d’être rénovée car: - elle est vétuste et étroite - le WC et la douche sont dans la même pièce (heureusement nous étions en couple et pas avec deux enfants comme le prévoit la capacité de l’appartement) - la douche est ouverte et toute la salle de bain est inondée à chaque douche - il n’y a quasi aucune possibilité d’entreposer ses affaires de toilettes La direction nous a informé que la rénovation de cette pièce était programmée pour 2024. Malgré de désagrément, notre séjour était fantastique et nous reviendrions sans hésiter.

Fantastisk opphold.
Vi var kjempefornøyd med oppholdet på villa mare monte. De ansatte var super hyggelige og hjelpsomme med alt vi trengte eller lurte på. Rommet var rent og fint. Beliggenheten passet oss perfekt da hotellet lå i et stille og rolig område men med kun en liten spasertur ned til sentrum av Malia hvor vi hadde både butikker, Strand og tavernaer.

We hebben een hele leuke tijd gehad in deze accommodatie. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en altijd bereid te helpen. De kamers zijn mooi en schoon met mogelijkheid tot het langskomen van de schoonmakers op je eigen verzoek. Heel mooi uitzicht en een mooi rustige omgeving. Het duurde even voordat we doorhadden hoe de airco werkte en de gangen zijn wat gehorig, maar dat was eigenlijk het enige. Mogelijkheid tot elke dag ontbijt en diner (voor, hoofd en na) voor een goede prijs, zelfs als je niet inclusief hebt geboekt. Als je activiteiten via de accommodatie boekt wordt je of opgehaald of weggebracht wat heel fijn is aangezien de bussen niet altijd regelmatig rijden. Het zwembad is heerlijk en er zit vrij weinig chloor in. Je kan zowel direct om het zwembad heen liggen als op twee verhogingen met genoeg schaduw. Overal (zowel op de kamer, als rond het zwembad en in de bar) is uitstekende wifi. De accommodatie ligt wel wat verder lopen van het centrum (zowel oud als nieuw), de supermarkt en het strand af. Toch raak je snel gewend aan heen en weer lopen en het voordeel is dat de omgeving van de accommodatie zelf heel rustig en vreedzaam is. Zowel het drukke nieuwe deel van de stad met alle clubs en barretjes als het oude gedeelte met romantische restaurantjes en rustigere, lokale straten liggen op ongeveer dezelfde afstand waardoor je heel wat te ontdekken hebt. Echt een aanrader.

Splendid
Stayed before and in these Covid times wanted somewhere familiar to call home for the week. As lovely and welcoming as we remembered it. Spotlessly clean rooms and outside areas. Stunning settings, just below the mountains, and a view down to the town and sea. Staff can't do enough for you, let us check out late, no fuss. 15 mins walk to old Malia and its great choice of restaurants. All the restaurants know of Mare Monte, so well established. Lying by the pool, trying to pick out the goats on the hillsides when you hear their bells clanging, idyllic. Will definitely return.
