Suites Santo Domingo

Great location on the hillside above the city and close to the Centro. Nice view from the common terrace. The rooms are a bit dated, so not a lux room by any means, but a nice comfortable Mexican vibe. No AC, which was fine for us but might be an issue during the hotter months, especially if mosquitoes keep you from opening windows.

The beautiful property was located up one of the central streets in San Miguel. Very nice rooms, and great staff. I highly recommend this charming hotel.

Beautiful property! We felt like we had out own apartment. Excellent location. You can either walk down/up to town or take a taxi. We really enjoyed our stay.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Rooms are suites with a bedroom, kitchen and sitting room. A low rise building set into the hillside, with decks and lawn on three levels. San Miguel de Allende is a pricier than average destination, but this hotel is quite reasonable compared to the average cost. Secure parking on the premises, close to the center of town. Hot water, woo-hoo! (It can be a rarity). I'm travelling with two dogs, so "pet-friendly" is the first term on my searches. There is a pet fee, also reasonable at 200 pesos per day per pet.

Good location and beautiful views. An authentic Mexican hotel with lots of tile and quirky touches, a kitchen that worked and friendly staff.

The suite was charming and quaint. Beautiful elevated view. It’s in a quiet part of the city which is nice to come back to at the end of the day. The chambermaid Lupe is wonderful—so helpful, so sweet. The walk up the hill is hard on some elderly people and those not used to exercise. But it’s a good way to burn off some taco calories. My only complaint is that the hotel needs to invest in better quality pillows.

San Miguel de Allende is wonderful at Christmas. The views from our suite were great and we loved the "Hacienda" style courtyard and property. Probably the most comfortable bed we have ever had in Mexico - and we had a King which is sometimes hard to find. We had a minor problem with hot water that was addressed immediately by Guerillmo. Be prepared for some steps (often without handrails because this is a beautiful classic place.) Because it was December we didn't use the cute patio or semi-private garden area but it looked inviting.
