Wingate by Wyndham Richmond Short Pump

Was a great stay for a weekend family getaway! The pool was heated and the check-in process was smooth. The selection of food was wanting for the “brown bag” continental breakfast. Contained a fruit cup, flavored yogurt and a breaded chicken sandwich that you heat in the microwave. There was a storm system moving through so more than 1/2 the TV channels didn’t work due to DirectTV having a scrambled system. While we spent most of our hotel time in the pool, not great to have no options for the kids in the morning before breakfast and pool simply because it is cloudy out. Even with these minor set back, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and the hotel appeared pretty clean.

HORRIBLE parking

The suite was very nice, except when the fire alarm light began flashing at 4 am no noise just lights in both rooms and bathrooms. When I called the front desk no solution or help was offered. When I went down I had to tell her to put me in another room. There was no maintenance on site or manager until after 9 am the next day ( I contacted front desk at 920 am and no manager or maintenance and lights still flashing). The overnight clerk was unhelpful and somewhat rude. I have stayed at this hotel and generally no problem, but the lack of any problem solving or solutions was troubling and ruined the overall experience.

Extremely noisy during the night

Absolutely amazing, staff wss extremely friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze. Room was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location. We will definitely be returning. Even with the pandemic going on the indoor pool was available for use and they had a bagged breakfast which was more than adequate. Great stay highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable hotel

Service was excellent ! The guy at the front really helped us and he took his time. The biggest issue was the tv channels. And if that’s all I have to complain about then it was a pretty good experience.

A great hotel, we stay here every year for our annual Christmas Shopping trip. Always Clean and Safe.

Nice Hotel right at Short Pump. Only issue i had was the public bathroom was a little dirty.

No one at registration desk when we arrived. Clerk finally came. Lobby dark and gloomy. So empty spooky. Never able to get room warm - cold all night. No extra blankets. Breakfast - free coffee was in a thermos but was stone cold - probably left over from previous day. They have a custom Starbucks machine there also but you have to pay minimum of $2.75 for a cup. Got feeling place is hanging on by a thread. Staff not dressed professionally. Would never stay here again.
