Sedona Hotel Yangon

The room was nice and big, the bed very comfortable. However, the stay has been unpleasant for a number of reasons. There was a music and dance party by the swimming pool side. Music was very loud and disturbing, even for me in my room at the 5th floor. Even more annoying was the handling of my complaints with staff at the front desk Staff number 1: „It has already finished.“ Was not true. Staff number 2: „Today there is no event.“ Was not true. Staff number 3: „Sorry, Sir, the music comes from the Myanmar Plaza Shopping Mall.“ Not true. Dining: I intended to have dinner at rge D’Cuisine restaurant. I asked for the menu and never got one. Generallly: There is loud and blasting music everywhere. Even the hallways. At night time they have life music in the lobby lounge cafe. The volume of the music would have done a concert proud. The poor musicians had to perform in front of a near zero audience. Obviously almost nobody wanted to expose themselfes to the loud music. No escape, though, from the musical terror at the Sedona is possible in the morning. Blasting loud music is played in the D’Cuisine restaurant

Staying here during the COVID crisis and the staff and management are doing their best to make the situation safe and comfortable. The food is quite good, facilities are kept very clean, and hotel staff are always helpful. It's not the ideal time to be in any hotel, but we made the right choice by choosing Sedona. Great location. The hotel grounds are green and beautiful, and Inya Lake is across the street.

The room was clean, but the toilet was dirty. I can hear my next-door neighbor arguing. The sink faucet flask a lot, and you can get wet very easy.

One day after I have arrived. I was moved to another room due to « scheduled maintenance, » it wasn’t very convenient since I have already settled in my first room.

A very nice hotel at a reasonable price. Very nice rooms, very good breakfast.

The buffet was good and extensive. They had both western, chinese and indian food

CONS: Room was old and dated. Bathroom curtain smelled old, and hair dryer was weak. AC in the room was barely working, even after they "fixed" it on my first day (I complained). PROS: Convenient location, right across Myanmar Plaza. Gym was insane--spacious, clean, and very premium. Breakfast buffet looked good but didn't try as I found it expensive for breakfast.
