Incredible family vacation. Beautiful resorts with tons of amenitites. Went with our two young boys and met with our friends you also have small children. The place was absolutely great! Due to Covid, we got to experience less than normal but we all felt they did a great job. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon.
Stay was very nice but my room personally fan didn’t work and was humid . Covid precautions were taken and the beach was lovely
Overall we had a good trip. The staff was very attentive. The facilities were in decent shape. The only issue that we ran into was the difficulty in getting reservations. Understandably the resort was about 15-20% of its capacity. Because there were only 2 of the a la carte restaurants open on a daily basis it was, at times, difficult to get a reservation.
this ominous hotel may seem alluring now but it wont be in person when you are fighting mosquitos in the rain , waiting on for a cart to take you to dinner. in its full glory probably is gorgeous, but at 30% capacity it is empty and unkept like a shell of its formal self. Also the hotel had an apartment format which i hated. I also was locked out of the bathroom in the middle of the night and had to relieve myself in a cup as I waited for staff My husband called the service and we immediately moved to the TRS hotel right next door which was like night and day. Oh and that $1500 credit---for useless things like expensive brand name sunglasses at the gift shop
The staff were great! They were courteous and always helpful. Many went above and beyond to help us navigate the resort, find information about getting out of the resort, and with any other questions we had there. The food selection was great but got boring really quickly because it was so bland. The restaurants were good (which were only open for dinner) but the daily buffets for breakfast and lunch were disappointing. It lacked flavor and options for local fruits such as mangoes and avocados. Our room was updated but the decorative pillows were dirty and the bathroom had a lingering pee smell in there when we arrived. The room also felt musty the first few nights. The sheets felt moist so we had to request for a change in linen. For entertainment and activities, there were several to choose from daily and at night. We took a dance class, had a photographer take our photos at the beach, did karaoke, and danced at the dj parties at the beach and at the Colonial lobby. Also, getting to the beach was not very convenient. It took some walking which wasn't the biggest problem. When we got to the beach, there were plenty of lounge chairs and canopies available but there were very limited staff or no staff available to order any drinks. So, to get any drinks, we had to walk farther to the bar and then back. Overall, it was a great experience but we won't be back.
My family and I had a really nice time at White Sands! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the pool(s) are huge, breakfast buffet was terrific, and the spa was lovely. There are 2 other resorts on the property that you have full access to, and they're just as nice! Very family friendly and there's something to do for everyone. A couple down sides - The beach is covered in rocks and there's only a very small section for people to swim at. Also, the pool area has NO music (and neither did the restaurants). When im on vacation in Mexico...there needs to be music playing! Especially when having a drink outside at the pool bar!? Not so fun when it's dead silent. Lastly, we arranged for transportation from the airport to the hotel (directly with hotel staff) and our ride never showed. Ended up taking a $180 taxi to the hotel.
Everything was great except for my room. As soon as we walked in to use the bathroom it smelled of urine, so we had to leave the bathroom door open. The next day I woke up to a p
We loved this beautiful resort! Loved all the restaurants and the service staff was always so kind and wonderful.
The food was exceptional, best buffets ive ever had. Staff bent over backwards to make for a special trip. This property had everything i could ever hope for.
Paid way more than was quoted. Expedia screwed up or once they get you there you have to pay or else.
