Really good experience - good value
The Viking is. 3 star hotel on the edge of Waterford located in a business district between car lots. The outside vista is not as impressive as their website suggests. However, this is more than compensated by the facilities, staff welcome, quality of the service and food. Our welcome at reception was excellent, room was very good and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. We will definitely return.

The room was not as clean as expected, and the amenities fell short of what was promised. The food was terrible, lacking flavor and quality, making dining there a thoroughly unpleasant experience. The overall service was subpar, and the staff seemed disinterested in addressing any concerns. I expected more for the price paid, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my stay.

This is a great hotel with excellent rooms, very helpful staff and a very good dining room for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is located a few kilometres out of town on the edge of an industrial estate, so the location is not all that convenient for direct access to the city attractions. However, if you have a car, the slight inconvenience of the travel to the city is more than offset by the high standard of this hotel with reasonable room rates and an affordable menu in the dining room. The buffet breakfast is great and really worth the money.
