Wrongly Kicked Out
We arrived at 11pm to only find out that our reservation had been cancelled. Then after the front desk person, Cortez, claimed to have retrieved our reservation, we were basically accused of fraud after all of our cards kept declining. 3 different people with 5 different cards, and for some reason none of them were working. I would also like to mention that the amount that showed up as the declined transaction on our accounts was not the same as the total we were given. Despite our frustration, security was then called and we were told we had to leave. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or help us find an alternative option. We were never aggressive or threatening towards him. It actually came off like we were inconveniencing him. He was smirking & made jokes about fraud and told me we were late and should’ve called when I asked why our reservation was cancelled in the first place. He was also clearly high which could have contributed to his aloofness for the situation. Honestly, if he was a representation of the hotel and what we would’ve been getting, then we probably dodged a bullet by not being able to stay. I say all this to say, that I have stayed at countless hotels and never in my life have I felt so disrespected by one like that. I was celebrating my birthday and had just drove in from CLT, looking forward to a welcoming beginning to my trip only to be highly disappointed and carelessly inconvenienced. Would not recommend to ANYONE.

Stay away - sheets weren't washed. Rude employees
Front desk was extremely rude on our check out day, asked her questions and she seemed as if it was such an inconvenience to answer anything and had a horrible tone with us. The bed had such a heavy smell of vapor rub, so we know the sheets were definitely not changed and washed and possibly had someone who was sick sleeping in it previously. The desk was missing a chair. The bathroom had not been cleaned correctly. When we checked in and asked the front desk about different things to do in the area their response was "I dont know, I don't stay by this area and am never around here", and throughout the entire check in they were talking to someone on the phone through their ear buds. Have stayed at other Elements which we loved, but this one was not a good representation of the company.

Shabby
This hotel is really in lousy condition. At check-in, I had to go through the hotel next door because the sliding glass doors to the hotel were broken. So were the elevators - again, had to go through the hotel next door, which is part of the same building. The parking garage elevators were all out for the first day of my stay, and only one worked on the second. No luck to anyone who could not walk up and down four flights of stairs. My bedroom had visible dust and dirt where the mattress pad attaches to the bed. The mirror light was burned out in the bathroom. And there was a visible coffee cup ring on the nightstand next to one side of the bed. Pretty much says it all.

$50 charged every night while you are sleeping.
Could you explain what is the extra charge $50 for every nights while I was staying? There’s no any extra service which I ordered but you charged $50 every nights without any permission and any notice. You must refund this money as soon as possible if there’s no reasonable reason.

Egregious customer service
The hotel itself was almost excellent, but my experience was terrible. Let me explain. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was also one of the highlights, with omelettes, scrambled eggs, and pancakes made to order, but they ran out of eggs towards the tail end of the breakfast window (one time almost half an hour before "closing") for the three mornings we were there, which resulted in many guests being left with limited selections (and no made-to-order options) despite them arriving well within the operating hours. Although I hope it will be improved in the future, this was rather minor. What made my experience abysmal was the fact that the hotel charged me for my stay despite the fact it was completely paid for through Hotels.com. After speaking with various staff and management (who openly acknowledge the mistake), leaving multiple voice messages, and even involving Hotels.com (who have also contacted Element several times), they still refuse to reverse the erroneous double charges. That is shameful, Element! I will be informing your corporate leadership team.

Ultra nice and comfortable
I have stayed in some nice, higher-end hotels, but I must say that this hotel is the nicest I have ever stayed in. The room was super nice, and it had more amenities than any other hotel I have used. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. There were many breakfast options, and the French toast was delicious. The beds were comfortable, and there was no noise from the adjacent rooms. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again.

Excellent Stay
What a beautiful, clean, comfortable hotel. The decor is really modern and lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was large, comfortable and well appointed, and had a gorgeous view of the city. Very pet friendly and located in a convenient section of ATL. Downsides: no soap for the sink in any of the bathrooms and the breakfast kept running out of food - the staff couldn’t keep up. Otherwise, an excellent stay and we will be back. Thanks to Gabby!
