Candle Light Inn

Mittelgroßes Zimmer mit guten Betten und kuscheligen Decken. Wohnzimmeratmosphäre. Empfang freundlich, Check-In und -Out ging schnell. Frühstück eher dürftig (Obst, Süßes, Saft, Joghurt) nach Karte, wurde in einer Kühltasche vor die Tür gestellt. Es gibt nur einen kleinen Schreibtisch im Zimmer (für die Kaffeemaschine), also Frühstück im Bett. Das Bad hat eine Dusche. Den netten Feuerplatz außen haben wir nicht genutzt. Es war meist zu regnerisch.

Spent one night at the Candle Light Inn, which is located a few blocks from the heart of downtown Carmel. The staff were wonderful and allowed us to check in early, provided us with a restaurant list and offered us coffee, tea, and fresh cookies in the lobby. The room itself was clean and spacious. Especially enjoyed the fireplace and the tub because it was a rainy winter weekend. Would come back if I were passing through Carmel again!

The place was in the perfect spot, very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly! Loved having dinner every night outside by the fireplace!

It was absolutely the best getaway. From the front desk customer service to the comfortable room. Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay here. It was so easy to book, convenient check in, the room was warm when we came in (loved) the cookies and hit chocolate were an added bonus and the outdoor fireplace in a quiet setting. The close proximity to shopping, great eats, and walking distance to the beach was absolute bliss. Thank you for the warm welcome and the kind goodbye. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Bed was comfortable, pillows were amazing as well as comforter. Shower was spacious and jetted tub was welcomed. Room could have benefited from a microwave but the mini fridge made up for it. The fireplace was exceptional. Overall great stay and if we happens to be in the area again, we would come again. Also the front desk service was excellent.

Very impressed. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. On arrival we entered a room that was heated with lights on and classical music playing - a wonderful touch! Staff were all very accommodating and nice. Charming stay. Will return. Re COVID: very clean, several antibacterial packets and wipes were available in the room and a few of the items in the room such as the toilet and remote controller were sealed/labeled that they have been sanitized. Felt very clean overall.

Cozy room and great location, walking distance to main street and restaurants.

The property was nice. The location was good, a little off the main street. But the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. The bed is really hard. The first room we got the bed was broken and then they moved us into a new room and that bed as very firm. We went and bought new pillows after the first night.

The rooms are very clean and well decorated. The facility is a short walk to everything. I have stayed here before and I do miss that they no longer deliver breakfast. Hopefully that will return. I do think there is a way to do it safely even with COVID-19. One additional suggestion which isn't the hotels fault is all the early morning leavers who slam their doors. Perhaps you could put the doors on a spring to lessen noise. Starting at 6am we heard slamming intermittently for several hours.

Such a great place! It was so cozy, very clean and comfortable. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and was surprised to receive a personal note plus small box of chocolates in our room. Classical music was playing off the TV as well upon our arrival. It was great how the staff made our stay extra special. If available, get the premium room with jetted tub! The location is perfect, close to lots of great places. We will definitely be back at the Candle light inn and highly recommend to others.
