The room was dirty. My shower handle wasn't even on the spigot. Just sitting in the bottom of the shower. It continuously dropped. The front desk just blew me off.

It was perfect walking distance from the Harvey’s Outdoor Theatre and it was a perfect place to rest your head. It worked.

I knew going into this stay i wouldn't be getting luxury, but it was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was a little run down but you can't beat the location for walkability to the lake, the casinos, and the shops and restaurants. I'd stay there again.

Clean but outdated which is in line with the low price. The trouble came when I left 2 shirts in the room. Uncooperative and rude staff and I will never get them back. I was told it's my fault for accidentally leaving them there. The post office has black listed this motel and won't work with them. Very disappointed.

The property is old and needs some repairs but was close to the concert we were attending and was fine for 1 night.

Would NOT recommend this place
I don’t even see how this place has three starts. The hotel room was very dirty, there was pee on the wall in the bathroom. Everything was not clean from the sheets on the bed to the towels hanging up in the bathroom. We actually left to Ross and bought bed sheets and blankets. I was worried we were going to get bed bugs. The guy in the front office was not friendly and he made it seem that you were bugging him. I would NOT recommend this place even if it’s for a one night trip.

Good location. Tv would not work most of trip. Not sure if it was satelight or what was wrong but it was direct tv and we simply wanted to check out sports updates and sleep better with tv but could not do that. If you arrive after dark be ready for absolutely no parking. Room was not very clean. Like i said great location near town and entertainment but room was not worth the price we paid.

Absolutely gross and unsafe. Room was broken down lamp shade fell off lamp and toilet was plugged with toilet paper and poop. I felt like we were being watched all night. The room had a conjoined door to the room next door. The lock on the door was broken and the hotels fix was to place a dresser in front of it. Do not stay here if you value your health and life. Prior to going to Tahoe my children were scared of the local bears. The rats outside of the hotel dominated any size bear. The photos online do not represent the rooms. It’s not only nasty it’s a scam.

Very disappointed
The floor was blistered and peeling. The night stand's top finish was partially stripped to the bare wood. The windows had no screens. No coffee in office. Parking lot was practically empty, but they wouldn't give a 70 year old person a ground floor room when requested.

Big Pines is very clean, quiet, and in a great location that is close to downtown. The room was perfect for a quick, one night trip for a fairly cheap price. It is also nice that they are pet friendly. One thing that was not ideal was that the toilet did not flush well, even when it was just tp.
