Very good location. Walking distance to everything you need
Room was large, mini fridge, nice bathroom. Air conditioning worked well. Good shower and hot and cold water in bathroom. It was off season so not sure if this is related, the hallways were dark at night, a bit hard to navigate up the stairs with the lack of light.
Comfy beds and hot shower, attentive staff, tasty breakfast, good location, spotless and everything worked. BUT lobby staff seemed really uptight/sad and were professional but not really friendly. The restaurant staff was very nice and relaxed. Bad: random extra charges. It seems like the owners are trying to pinch pennies. The hotel charges for using the packets of coffee placed in the room next to the Mr. Coffee machine!! In a fancy place this ought to be a standard amenity! While breakfast was included, there was an extra charge for a second 6 ounce cup of coffee! And if you’re hungry don’t get the hot cakes—you only get two 3” hot cakes with NO sides. The terrace was under construction during our stay so I can’t comment about the view. The lobby music was sombre piano/Muzak, not upbeat at all...yet oddly accompanied by bubble lights (?) In summary, it was GOOD but not NICE. Had all the essentials but it was NOT cozy or welcoming.
Beautiful bed; air conditioning; very clean and tidy; very friendly staff; great location for walking in Centro; very nice restaurant. All in all, a first class experience.
Excellent everything, thank you
Great location
clean, nice and simple, great location, just a blocks from center
Very nice, clean and close to the downtown. Parking and breakfast were very good and staff was very helpful.
Very highly recommend this hotel! My partner and I were in Oaxaca this past week for a wedding, and stayed at Casa Divina for 7 nights. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the hotel! Our room was beautiful with a king sized bed and tasteful antique furniture, the location was perfect (5-10 mins walk to everything we wanted to see in the city, but quieter than being right in the centre), everyone was super friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was delicious (I was surprised to see negative reviews about the breakfast, since the included breakfast was much much more than we were expecting - it included fresh fruit or freshly squeezed orange juice, an option for the main, from which we always picked the chilaquiles with black beans, and tea or coffee. And we ate on the rooftop terrace every morn, which was a beautiful spot to start the day). The wedding we there for was based at the Quinta Real, where many guests stayed - it’s a 5 star and was much more expensive, so we were very happy to have an affordable option that was in a quieter part of the city but still so walkable and conveniently located. Finally, the staff really went out of their way to help us - they made sure our rental car was parked in a secure location overnight, accommodated our dietary needs at breakfast (I’m vegan and my partner is vegetarian), and had lots of helpful suggestions about the city and surrounding areas (one of the hotel co-owners, Jorge, was usually on site and went out of his way
Very helpful and pleasant staff.
