The Good: Restaurants, pool and beach are amazing, every employee; landscaping, entertainers, cleaners, servers, cooks, are super nice and friendly, also very knowledgeable, you could ask anything and they would give you the answer! The Bad: we made the reservation and made a note that we were going for our anniversary and they actually replied to us saying there were going to be some amenities in our room! We were very excited, but there was nothing in our room when we got there. We mentioned it to one of the receptionists on day 3 of our stay and she apologized, and said she would take care of it.. supposedly a bottle of wine and some chocolates were supposed to arrive. They never sent anything. Also, you need to be proactive about your restaurant reservations, call before you get there. We were in sby for the rodizio but were never updated on the status after we checked in, we had to ask 3 different people and finally Kevin was able to resolve it for us, apparently the standby list was never updated and he had to call someone on his cellphone to have it done. (btw another employee told us she could get us in if we buy a bottle of wine, wtf?) The ugly: guy at the front door who was pretty persistent on following him for a present, we know he wanted to sell us the privilege club, very uncomfortable when we declined. Will we come again? Absolutely, the place is gorgeous, but not to celebrate a special day. Employees are amazing, guest relations sucks.
Overall great experience, would highly recommend to friends and family. Property has 3 pools and private beaches.
Food was great, I am happy with the selection. The staff were extremely friendly. The room was comfortable a bit cold, but I am always cold. I would recommend this place if you are on a budget. But it was nice, no complaints.
I enjoyed everything I will definitely be coming back
Amazing entertainment team and kids club. Great experience :).
s Staff all super polite and service was typically excellent. Restaurants - filet mignon bourguignon that you could cut through with a fork! Hurricane Zeta - moved us to rooms away from the ocean, coordinated boxed sandwiches, and generators kicked on once the power went out Wifi: coverage everywhere, speeds fast enough for video and phone calls. Lost connection for 15 minutes during hurricane. -s Most a la carte restaurants are closed. 4 available restaurants are alternating nights 24 hr snack bar closes 6PM-"10PM" (reopened sometime the next day) Main buffet has a dress code that is made known upon arrival; this is the only place for dinner if you don't have a reservation. Food isn't always good. A bellhop *must* pick you up for checkout; we stood in the heat/rain waiting for one to come. When one arrived, the cart seats were covered in sand One night we were kicked off the beach at 7PM because a private party had rented it. We were kicked out of a pool at 7PM despite the hotel's TV channels showing they're open until 8PM The sports bar is indicated to be excluded from all-inclusive on the website when we booked, but sometime after we arrived we found out it was included Scheduled room service breakfast the morning of our departure was an hour late Oceanfront rooms are not soundproofed to keep out the noise/music from the pool. It was impossible to get chairs at the adults-only pool. Towels are left on them all day long Some people went hungry the night of the hurricane
This resort was beautiful and spacious. Would return. Highly rated. They definitely took care of their guests.
I absolutely loved the place, there are so many things to do and so much variety in restaurants. Customer service was also great. The only thing I would’ve liked to see was to have more seafood in the buffet since they only had shrimp cocktail and ceviche.
Given the recent hurricane and pandemic, the property was nice. We are repeat visitors and the only difference this time was the isolation to one area instead of all properties within Bahia Principe. All usual, the staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back in July 2021.
Had a great time. The room, the food, the entertainment, the beach, and the service were all great! There was a few different beach areas and a great snorkeling spot. There were canoes and paddle boards for us to use and there was a adult only pool area. Events were planned throughout the day and in the evening. We never had a dull moment during our visit. There was plenty of space to social distance and to relax without anyone else around for those who wanted alone time.
