San Carlos Plaza Hotel, Beach & Convention Center

The bell hop was terrific. Room service was quick and efficient and very friendly, and the room itself and the bedding was changed daily...very good. Our only issue was the bed frame, wherein one of the legs popped out. Good security on the premises, but we didn't like/understand why we had to wear wristbands (uncomfortable) the entire stay.

The service was horrible the rooms are not as they appear tiles cracked couches old and torn sinks clogged no hot water to take a shower for 2 days. No communication. We were there to celebrate the new year and was kicked of the event for not having ticket. Not once was this mentioned to me at time of check in. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a great place to stay! Private beach, great pools, clean facility, super friendly staff, great on site restaurants, reasonable priced... I was disappointed the water in the jacuzzi was cold. I hope next time the jacuzzi is working properly. Other than that, it was perfect! I can’t wait to return!

Location is perfect and beautiful hotel and kids pool but the shower was not very clean, shower curtain smells bad and long hairs in the bath top and in the floors, old and rustic shower caps, overall we like the room but bathroom need attention

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was definitely more of a eesort type feeling.

Pool area was great! But not that clean, room service took too long ended up going to pick it up ourselves. Reception not that helpful.

Checkin I had to pay different price then told on phone when I booked the room. The sheets to the bed were dirty they had to come change them. The toilet was broke and bathroom was dirty.

Beatiful surroundings and friendly staff. Easy parking and good location. A little noisy with kids yelling and running in the hotel.

The photos do not match the description. This hotel looks as if it hasn’t had any maintenance since they opened. The housecleaning attendant turned my AC to the coldest setting and I didn’t notice until I woke up in the middle of the night with chills. Had to go to a doctor in Guaymas to get medication. I was sick all week. Also, cockroaches in my room (see photo). The “gym” has two treadmills and an excercise bike - none work. The weights are old and had been left outside. They all had rust on them. The “spa” was closed two days I was there and when I called the reception desk, they said they don’t know why they are closed and the hotel doesn’t own them, so not sure. When they finally opened, I got a massage. The lady had no idea how to properly give a massage. She drenched my entire body in oil to the point I was slipping when I got off the table. This place is absolutely disgusting.

staff is pretty rude, rooms are duty and restaurants are expensive and bad food quality
