Loved that it was right by the beach and my hotel room had a beautiful pool out the back. Overall the grounds could’ve been more clean. There was construction taking place in some parts but it wasn’t squared off or anything. The beach bar’s drinks were good and the food was OK. The best food was the breakfast at the one of the restaurants, I forgot. The brunch restaurant was good.
I know I travelled during a pandemic, but the hotel was under construction. We stayed on the beach and it interrupted our view and access to the beach. We weren’t notified, when booking, nor when checking in, that this was happening. But since we already had gone grocery shopping, and unpacked, we stayed in our room. Our last night, we missed our flight, went back to Divi, instead of accommodating us or giving us a discount for one night, after we endured a week of construction, they tried to charge us a full nights stay. Even stating that Divi Dutch was more expensive that Divi Golf, though we had no concierge or staff at our hotel we had to drive to Divi golf to get towels, to speak to someone, they even even had a grill which we didn’t have on our side. We stayed somewhere else the last night. The only good thing was the room was nice, though the bathroom shower needed some updating.
The property is going through major renovations right now and it is pretty empty due to Covid-19. However, the area where our room was located was very nice. We had a great pool in front of our terrace and the beach was just steps away. Our room was beautiful, clean, spacious, renovated and had everything we needed. We were there to relax and enjoy sun and swimming so we really loved our stay at Divi Dutch.
In Aruba you have Low Rising Hotels, which this hotel was, has less guest; great for Covid 19. But information at this Hotel was not supplied and the staff was great but they never had the right info to give out to us about what was closed and when. Even the front desk gave us misinformation. We found the best info on line from other visitor to the island. We did have the ocean-beach to your self a lot of the time due to construction at the Hotel premises.
A very nice and quiet hotel and very central compared to other hotels. A little construccion at this time but very enjoyable for families.
The property was clean, the staff was excellent and the location was great. Having access to all of the Divi resorts on the island with easy shuttle service was the draw.
Everything best accomodations around awesome front desk staff
The rooms were beautiful but they never got cleaned. The beach was full of rocks which made it hard to swim. Ive been to aruba over 10 times. I probably would never stay at this resort again.
When they say all inclusive, they mean all inclusive! Also loved the swim up bar. What I didn’t like was the floors in the rooms were dirty. My socks were black on the bottom. All looked clean and spotless except the dirty floors. Needed a good mopping!
Loved the jacuzzi and tiki bar Friendly staff and service
