We had a wonderful family vacation at Royal Solaris Los Cabos. The rooms were clean though this is an older property. The staff was professional, courteous and always helpful. We would gladly stay here again!!!
I was very surprised there’s a $5 room service fee per orderI think it’s misleading advertisement. We had previously stayed at a GR Solaris ( same family of hotel) in Cancun where there is no room service fee. Also for those restaurants that need reservations even though they had a lot of empty tables if you didn’t have a reservation for dinner they wouldn’t sit you, once again in Cancun even with no reservation if they had available tables they would sit you, we went to Cancun also during the pandemic. They’re very strict when it comes down to making reservation times it’s from 9am-3pm but once you call at 9am all the early reservations are taken by the vip clients who are allowed to make early reservations 🙄 so you’re stuck eating dinner at 9pm. Service from all of the staff was great, drinks and food were ok.
This hotel was not the best but for a quick trip it was okay. For starters the food was always cold unless you made reservations for dinner just be prepared to get a cold meal no matter what time. They literally had a tip jar all over concierge buffet even to deliver your food that’s all inclusive is a $5 delivery fee. Room service doesn’t change the sheets as often as they should and doesn’t replace towels unless you call. The water was literally cold to bathe in upon arrival while after the water turn back on because they claimed it was a water issue. Some staff was not so friendly when it comes to getting alcoholic beverages and very stingy when portioning food. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again because it was a quick trip I went with it but I’ll pay more money any day then to stay here. Also my safe in my room got jammed with my belongings inside took over an hour to come to fix it which caused me to run late for an excursion.

The property is nice, though far from luxurious. On the plus side, service was excellent (possibly due to reduced capacity due to Covid?) both pool-side and in the restaurants. Also there's an extensive remodel in progress which will result in all new, very nice rooms. Biggest disappointment was the food - average at best. The a-la-carte restaurants were only open on select nights, and "members" of their Club Solaris got preference in making reservations, so regular paying guests went to the back of the line. Buffets were plentiful, but selections were limited and the food was frequently lukewarm, greasy or both. Overall a decent value, and we might return in the future, but don't expect anything fancy.

The service and beyond excellent. Unfortunately hotels.com NEVER mentioned that construction would be daily as well as daily water shut offs! Made the vacation a little disturbing
Really warm welcome from staff. Easy check in, covid standars as require. Traveling with my family safety was my first concern especially with on this hard times. The only think I did not like is how the concierge was trying to sell me time share. I know is their job but it gets annoying.
The food was good. They just didn’t open the formal dinner everyday how they were supposed to, but there was always 1 buffet available with good food. The location is good. The beach is very dangerous. The waves are too strong. Very friendly staff. They had activities every day for the children. We had a great time.
Loved the place, but check in was not helpful and made us return 4 times to get key to unlock our room. Personnel were too persistent on selling time share and we weren’t able to enjoy our stay. This may prevent us from returning.
