Disney's Pop Century Resort

Es ist ein Disney Resort, das es schon lange gibt. Die Lage ist wunderbar, der See, die Anlage, die Palmen, alles super schön. Die Gebäude sind nach Musikjahrzehnten (40ger, 50ger, 60ger etc) benannt und an vielen Stellen hört man Musik. Das fand ich sehr schön! Allerdings sind viele Bereiche/Zimmer nicht mehr up to Date und werden derzeit renoviert. Das macht Disney aber sehr professionell und sperrt dann komplette Gebäude für die Renovierung. Ich hatte leider ein Zimmer in den 50gern, das noch nicht renoviert, also nicht mehr so ganz zeitgemäß war. Viel braun und dunkel, das Bad nicht ganz so schön, das Wasser ist im Waschbecken nur schlecht abgelaufen. Aber insgesamt alles groß und sauber. Leider gab es keinen Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer und auf meine Nachfrage hin wurde es abgelehnt, mir einen auszuleihen. Grundsätzlich aber eine große, schöne Anlage mit herrlichem Swimmingpool für groß und Klein.

Disney Value Resort eben. Von außen war es sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wir haben es aber wegen den neuen Zimmern genommen und die sind der Hammer. Bis Transfer zu den Parks ist perfekt. Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist super. Nur das Essen wird auf Dauer ins geld gehen.

I have been staying here every year since 2005 and it has never disappointed. We felt safe with all of the covid precautions and everything was very clean. I requested a specific room # in the 60s and received a comparable room right near it, selecting the standard room rate. It has everything you need to have a true Disney experience while being extremely wallet friendly. Skyliner access is priceless - you will quickly realize how valuable constant on-demand transportation is and also how many possibilities it unlocks. Thanks again for an amazing stay. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Excellent customer service. Agent at checkin showed us how to download and use the MyDisneyExperience app to unlock our door, pay for items at the Disney parks, check wait times for lines, etc. Room was clean, comfy beds, giant TV, nice shower. Liked that there was a sliding door between sleeping area and bathroom. There was another sliding door between sink area and toilet/shower area. Convenient buses and skyliner to get to the parks. Very cute decor around the resort. No checkout required...just left and received final bill via email. We’ve stayed at the more expensive resorts which is nice if you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort. We spent most of our time at the parks so this worked out great. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms are motel style with doors that open to the outside.

Fun hotel.

The stay was pleasant. The kids had fun. I’d say the worst experience was the Food. I wouldn’t recommend eating there.

I loved this hotel. The cast members are all super nice. The hotel was super clean. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. The skyliner is a wonderful means of transport.

I had contacted Disney ahead of our trip to request a ground-floor room, then again when I checked in online, but they assigned us a 2nd story room. I did go to the front desk and they were able to give us a 1st floor room.

Due to Covid and restrictions the staff seemed rigid! Like they all came out of a meeting that they got their butts chewed! Not saying we tried to go against what was the norm but they were not as friendly as past. Cable went out. Had to reset my “watch” twice. Couldn’t open room or charge from it. My 9 yo son could get into room but I could not. That was not convenient. Also the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser fell off the wall.

Nice little stay. Just wanted to be closer to Skyliner.
