Lack of control of situation. Thetre was a party of around twenty teenagers running around the corridors and having a party in their room. Considering the rule of six, I cannot understand why staff did not take control of the situation immediately and did not call in the police until 5am. Had no sleep due to the continuous noise. Also was charged a deposit even though I had prepaid and am now told it will not be repaid for four to seven days.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful with Sarah on reception going above and beyond by providing maps etc to help us during our stay. Staff are unable to enter rooms at this time unless you stay more than 3 days but we still managed to have our towels changed daily and more tea and coffee is readily available from the reception. The hotel itself is a little "tired" and would benefit from redecoration and a makeover. Considering our stay was during Covid-19 it was very good. We had breakfast which was fine - you just order the night before - we had a cooked meal which was ok. Also had a couple of evening meals too. It is about a 15 -20 minute walk into Basingstoke centre which for us was ideal. There is plenty of parking if you prefer to drive.
Poor service from the hotel. We had a room Above us that were arguing all night and stomping around. We called reception at 5am, they said they would resolve but didn’t. Next day the fire alarm went off at about 11 twice, it appeared to be a test but we weren’t informed it was a test. On check out, the receptionist was doing something on the computer and didn’t stop what she was doing to serve us or ask how our stay was. Really disappointed with the poor service.
The room was looking a bit 'tired' with poor lighting. Staff were great though and it was obvious extra measures were in place due to Covid.
The property seemed tired and a bit dated. Service good
Room and location good. Shame rooms TV didn’t work, only found out in the morning
Lovely stay other than being knocked up at 0815 by housekeeping!
Good location and was fit for our short stay. Breakfast was good and found the staff to be very helpful.
The room rate at £63.00 looked economical but it did not include breakfast at £16.50 per person. It finished up as expensive.
Stay was fine, room could do with more light and so does the bathroom, light bulb out
