Bad experience
We arrived early and were hoping to get a room, but there wasn’t one available so the staff noted we would check in late and we left our luggage and headed out for the day. When we came back around midnight we were told there wasn’t a room for us because the last 3 rooms they had were flooded. We asked the staff to call the manager who didn’t answer the phone even as they tried over and over again. They talked about putting us in another hotel (no decent ones are nearby so it would have been a longer drive) and when I said they’d need to cover taxi costs to get us back so we could get our car the answer was that only the manager could approve that. This went back and forth for about 20 minutes until one of the staff volunteered to clean a dirty room for us. Why this wasn’t the first option I still don’t understand but we were thankful for her initiative. About an hour after getting to the hotel we finally had a room to sleep in. The next morning at breakfast the woman working there was extremely rude and nasty to us and a few other customers. This was the icing on the cake. I was told the manager would be in the next morning at 9 so I could speak to him and then in the morning it moved to 10 and we needed to get going. He later called me back after leaving a message and listened to the situation and was apologetic and not making excuses - but also explained the situation to me. He’s now looking into compensation and I’m hoping he can resolve this inconvenient stay for us.
