Holiday Inn Express Tallahassee University Central

A very clean place, walking distance from FSU with lots of places to eat also within walking distance. It is my second stay at this hotel and will continue booking my future trips with them

ROACH MOTEL! Went on a two week trip through several major cities in the south and ended with Tallahassee as the last city. All the hotels were booked through Hotels.com. All of which were as described and very satisfactory. Until this one. After unpacking and hanging up the clothes we took showers and sat down to eat dinner we brought when a cockroach peeked out from behind where the tv was mounted on the wall. In my experience, I know when there is one visible there are many more hidden. We had to pack up our suitcases, leave only the clothes we were going to wear the next morning and take everything to the car through the rain in order not to risk having cockroaches hitching a ride in our suitcases to take home. Later that night I woke up at around 2 o’clock in the morning toy cockroach crawling on my pillow. I stayed awake as quiet as possible so as not to wake up my son until about six o’clock in the morning since I could not sleep. When I complained the next morning to the employee, she literally stayed quiet and didn’t offer any apology or excuse. I told her I would never stay at another Holiday Inn again. You would think they would try to make some sort of feeble attempts at retaining a customer such as a discount for a future stay or a coupon for a free Apple pie at McDonald’s. But as ackward as it sounds, she didn’t say a word.

Me: Lived in Tallahassee in the mid 90's, visit yearly 3 to 4 times ans stay in hotels, I am a police officer and know TPD Officers. Pros: new hotel, very clean, very close to campus, and sports complexes. Cons: the location and the lack of security. First off being from So FL I am very familiar with the current trend of razing old buildings in bad parts of town and building new which eventually squeeze the bad element out, but its while that process is occurirng that safety concerns

Excellent comfort and service for a “place to sleep” stay for an early morning event. Breakfast was COVID-19 adjusted with great coffee and a perfect to-go bag with yogurt, granola, and a muffin.

I've been in >50 hotels in the past 2 months, and I liked THIS one the best. Beyond the superb service from all staff (even kindness from the maids when I checked out late!) and the hot water waiting in the lobby on a chilly night, the room was fantastic! Walked in to a convenient corner table for keys, wallet, purse. Then there was a long sideboard that fit both of my suitcases, as well as my briefcase and more! No need to put anything on the floor. A comfy office chair in addition to a corner comfy chair. Very comfortable bed. Best of all? I walked into FRESH AIR rather than maintenance chemicals! I definitely want to visit here again.

Clean. Food close by and an easy walk. Great access to Fl. State.

The hotel, location and staff were amazing! Be sure to check out the restaurant right next door. The amenities, cleanliness,and staff brought this hotel to a 10 for us. We will stay again and again.

The reviews that I read before booking my overnight stay at this hotel were spot-on! Service was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. It was super close to both universities for my daughter to attend the campus tours. I will definitely choose this hotel again upon my next visit to Tallahassee.

The beds were very comfortable. The clerk who greeted us at the front desk was friendly and professional.
