Pleasant stay! Nice and clean, can’t complain! All the checks
The room was ok there was a nite of the door saying the room was cleaned fully before our arrival i dont believe thi s was true there were a few hairs around the bath and the kettle was full with water and the try had coffee drip marks on i dont believe it was fully cleaned , we were also going to have dinner but called dowb to reception and were given the wrong information so called round to book elsewhere only to get a call about 15 mins later to say sorry i gave yiu the wrong information we had already left the hotel at this point. Check in was sparce and had to wait a while for a staff mebmer to apprear .
Bed was not very comfy and there was no tv remote when I entered the room
The beds were quite uncomfortable and the single 'put up' bed was uncomfortable for my son, as he described he felt like he had springs in his back all night!! It was clean and the service was good. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that but it was £16.50 per person! We found a lovely cafe 10 mins away that done a decent cooked breakfast for under £6!
The bar, restaurant were all closed due to covid 19 but this was just lazy. No effort was made to accommodate guests with dinner and drinks in your room only. You had to order and come pick it up. This should have been left at your door to avoid contact. The room had 1 towel and even a dispenser in the bathroom was empty. How difficult can it be with few guests.
Disappointed beds not made and coffee and toilet roll not replenished. ( is this a policy relating to Covid 19?). The bin in the room was emptied so someone had come in. Team all courteous and friendly. Warm welcome from think his name was Alfred when we arrived.
The hotel has plenty of parking and a good check-in. The room although small was excellent and comfy. Unfortunately, the food was poor, I know restrictions are in place in terms of limitations however the food offered and served staying away with work since March wasn't up to standard.
I was evicted by the receptionist at check-in who decided, without any governmental guidance to hand, that my travel to the UK was not essential and therefor my stay at the hotel was denied. We will be claiming a full refund and recording a complaint with the Holiday Inn.
Convenient location, great facilities with good food available onsite. We will most likely stay again when heading to or from LHR going or coming from North.
Good - little expensive but ok
