The Brown Hotel

Love the historic setting. The bar and restaurant were 5*. Room seemed clean but my wife saw blood on the matress and hair in the shower. Didn’t seem like it was up to COVID standards. Bourbon selection was phenomenal but overpriced.

Lovely and elegant old hotel. Clean but a little dusty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Loved staying here .

More COVID restrictions will have an even larger impact on staff here. They did an excellent job but when the rules are constantly changing, it has to be difficult and demoralizing. My room was huge, very clean and comfortable as were common areas. Their fitness room needs a deep clean and newer equipment but I’m sure that’s a low priority right now.

Jay in the bar might make the best old fashioned of all time. Go see him.

The back of the toilet had water pouring out when flushed. Crumbs were inside the table drawer.

The hotel was a great place to stay during our travels through Louisville, KY. Very nice place. We tried the hot brown meal from the on-site restaurant. We ordered takeout since we were maintaining social distancing. The front desk staff was always helpful and they followed up on making sure we received our meals.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic. The only negative was our room was not cleaned and restocked the first day. When we asked about it at the front desk, we were told we had to ask for our room to be cleaned which we were not informed of at check in.

Loved the history and character of this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

I liked the fact that it was an old classic hotel that retained its charm.

The hotel was very nice. Disappointed that the dining and bar was not open. Able to get a hot brown at breakfast which partially made up for the inability to dine. The surrounding area was largely shut down and boarded up which was also disappointing.
