We arrived during the Coronavirus outbreak in the US. It was spring break, so occupancy was probably pretty high to begin. It cleared out while we were there. We brought our 3 kids and their grandparents, so there were 7 of us in 2 rooms. The upgrade to the family room was a mistake. The room was pretty rough. The beds were worn and uncomfortable, the door to the patio wouldn’t close and lock (1st floor with our patio pointed toward the street). There was not curtain for our room, which I immediately contacted the front desk to fix, it never was. They came to fix plumbing in our room later and I brought the curtain up again to no avail. I feel like the staff didn’t do their best. The kids pool was great for our 4, 6, and 8 year olds. They played and played there. The beach was also pretty good (not crowded because of Covid). Kids liked the zip line, but could only go twice which makes sense if it’s busy but seemed kind of dumb when there was no line. The baby paradise experience was bad for my 4 year old. They wouldn’t let his sister (6) in to play with him although there was no one else in there and the kids paradise hadn’t not opened. He wanted to play anyway so we left him thinking the staff member would play with him. Nope! I came by 15 minutes later and she was messing in her phone while he played by himself and 15 minutes later he was balling his eyes out when I came back and picked him up. The 6 year old did kids paradise activities on St Patrick’s day and had fun.
The kids area and pools were awesome. The staff were really great The room was run down, the buffet was awful. The resort is in dire need of a renovation
Had everything you could want for young kids (mine were 5 & 3). If you don't have kids then I don't recommend this resort.
Right on the beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable atmosphere.
Food was delicious, staff were great with the kids. One of the best family friendly resorts I’ve seen
The food is not very good!! Not Flavor and not to much options
Everything is close by and well kept....very clean.
Hated the fact you had to make a reservation to eat and when you try to there is never any accommodations to 3 of the 4 places to eat that was available. Power went out for almost 2 hours only available light was at front desk area.
Overall the stay was great... However this is not the place to lay on the beach and relax and read a book; vendors and beach peddlers are a constant.. and when I constant, I mean every minute someone comes to you trying to sell you everything from rings, shoes, oysters, beachwear, and even another hat to put over your existing one. It doesn't matter if you act like you are into your book or sleeping (which is impossible due to this being a family resort with TONS of kids yelling and screaming and having fun) Food was acceptable in all areas, and the specialized restaurants took that extra effort to make you feel like you were on vacation. Would we stay here again as a couple? -Nope... Maybe when we have grand-kids, this would be a good choice.
Excellent for kids, families in general. You really feel that you are trying welcome there
