Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland

It took near 30 minutes to check in and the man asked me to swipe my card 3 times and kept saying Um over and over.

The hotel room was super nice, we weren’t able to open the window but it was the top floor so that makes sense. It sucked having to find a parking garage to pay for, we were unclear with if the hotel had it’s own parking area. But overall it was a wonderful stay :) thank you!

I've stayed in Portland several times now and this hotel's ambience and décor is a good balance of Portland-hip with a high-end feel. I loved the bar and lounge area (live music!) - I can say that I don't often WANT to hang out in a hotel's bar, but we did twice during our stay. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, the vibe was relaxed but fun. You can't beat the location - most neighborhoods are easily walkable from downtown and were explored old town, burnside, the pearl district, and 23rd street without getting into a car once.

Perfect location. Loved the character of the hotel. Laid back vibe and very friendly, attentive staff.

Friendly staff... right away at the front door to explain parking options and help with luggage, the check in staff who took the time to visit with us and also give us the best room possible (that we were willing to pay for), to the wine reception staff... While we were at the wine reception we received bad news about family members and the hotel overheard our conversation and cared enough to send a bottle of wine a chocolates up to our room! So while our get away did not turn out to be the fun trip to Portland we were hoping for, I am so grateful for the warm, friendly, compassionate people that work at this hotel! Very quiet rooms but nice vibe in the lobby/ bar area in the evenings! I was not as impressed with the restaurant. We went there for supper, dressed up, asking for a nice corner, and got put in the bar (in her favorite corner table but right next to other people... I could have put my drink on their table). Waitress also was great and trying her best to be chatty but it was just not what we were needing that night. But we should have been more assertive and asked for the restaurant side and a quieter table. Food was ok.

The staff were amazing and very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. They have a lot of things available, you just need to ask the front desk for them.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel. The room was inviting, clean, and quiet. The service was pleasant and helpful as well. Thank you, Kimpton! We'll stay here again soon!!

The entire staff was amazing! Everyone seemed to be happy to be working there. Very helpful and attentive! We loved how dog friendly the hotel was. When we visit Portland again, we will not stay anywhere else.
