The Westin Pasadena

For the money it was not all that I was expecting better. I don't think I will ever go back. Was not to clean it was in a nice are and it was nice to be close to old town Pasadena but personally staff was not to nice and it was not to clean.

Everything was good

Overall mediocre. I felt I overpaid for what I received. Not as luxurious as you would think a Westin to be. Pros- Great location in old town Pasadena. Beautiful lobby area, friendly staff, comfortable beds, some premium TV channels. Check in/out was easy. Accommodated a later check out. Cons- Rooms are very small, bathroom was not very clean or in good shape. No hotel amenities available- no gym, pool. Getting to the parking lot was a pain. Parking costs are expensive.

The room was clean but old. It needs to be upgraded.

I was a bit disappointed with the bathroom, the water sputtered and the pipes rattled once when it was turned on. The guest blow dryer was dusty.

The bathroom has to be renovated. Not much space to place clothes or toiletries. They should provide firm pillows for people who don’t like dawn ones. Those are very uncomfortable.

Except for elevator problem and limited food at Ventanas it was good.

Quick Stay. Room was clean and comfortable.

Check in was quick and effortlessly but then getting to the room was a bit annoying having to go thru the service elevator by the valet side booth (main elevator not in service). Once at the room, noticed the place was relatively small compared to other hotels we've stayed at--the bed took 90% of the space, so we felt like hamsters. We were a family of 3 (son 7) visiting the LA Arboretum with plans of staying for 2 nights but had to cut it short. We had to cut it short because there was a disturbance in the Hall from the room to our left. Loud argument that started the night before and continued thru the following mid-morning with Cops having to show up to the scene. Here's were i began to get really upset because my son had to hear all this nonsense to the point where he didn't want to be there anymore--straight out told me he wanted to go home because he was scare. Wife immediately got on the phone with the Hotel front desk to complain and advised them that we would leave immediately from the Hotel. For futures stays--I would probably not stay at a Westin again and let alone the one in Pasadena.
