Casa De Palmas, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

So we got the 500$ presidential suite for 18 year anniversary. The room was fair, no frills. Curly hair in the bathtub and huge wad of long hair on wall in the shower. At first they comped us two drinks to sit at the bar while they cleaned it. Came back to the room and only some of the hair in the shower was removed! They sent the cleaning lady again, who of course was visibly upset about having to do it again, but we turned her away because my husband was using the restroom. They never followed up, hair still in shower, heater didn't work overnight. We will not be returning.

I’ve stayed at this property multiple times. This is the property I go to when I go home to visit my family. This trip however made it the LAST time I will stay here. Each time I’ve stayed it is minor issues such as plumbing causing the hallway to smell. Or noise from construction. I received a letter at 2am on Christmas Day stating there would be no house keeping due to the holiday. At 11am on the dot, house keeping is knocking on the door. I immediately called front desk who said it was fine if I checked out at 11:30. I just needed to collect my belongings, make sure I left nothing behind. 10min after 11am, front desk called back again stating we needed to leave immediately after we just hung up the phone. 2minutes later another house keeping lady is knocking at the door. She had a walk-in talkie in her hand. So I ask what the confusion is with us leaving at 11:30 why the constant knocking and calling. She stated, she did not know I talk to front desk, but I can hear the front desk talking to her on Walkie. Extremely frustrated, and irritated that I wasted my hard earned money at an establishment who didn’t appreciate it.

The room was tiny and the bathroom was even smaller. Was like being in a prison cell. Other than that it was fine.

The room was nice and clean, free off street parking. Refrigerator and coffee machine in room. No breakfast or any food due to COVID. My experience was unusual due to the staff charging my credit card everyday when I booked my stay through Expedia. It was fixed but just an inconvenience when you have an extra 500 dollars in charges on your vacation due to staff errors. They refunded the charges but wasn’t until 3 days after I was home.

Lovely locale and historic site. You have to be in McAllen to understand the region

Walls are so thin kept heari g next room couple have sex over 4 times .....super loud. I had my daughter smh
