I booked a double room, arrived very late and had to make a self check-in, the instructions were provided vial email and the key waited at the reception. When I entered the room, I was so shocked that I thought that someone made a mistake because I found myself in a fairy-tale, 3 floor-room with a pool with jaccuzzi. This was a free upgrade of the hotel, an amazing surprise that made my daughter to fall in love with this place instantly. When I asked why we got such a honor, the answer was very simple: "this suite wasn't booked for the weekend and since you arrived with a child, we thought you might enjoy this little extra." Wow, you can tell that the management knows exactly how marketing works and how to make guests happy. Even if I will never be able to stay in this suite again, I will always choose this hotel if traveling to Athens, just because they created this amazing memory.
This hotel is not great only because of the rooms, they also understand what a 5* service really means. The small gestures make a huge impact: little sweets left in the room after the cleaning, huge breakfast basket that can be ordered to the room, drinks that get served free of charge if using the sauna/pool or paying attention to the needs of the kids.
I travel a lot and I visited many great hotels but this one topped it all so I hope they remain at this level forever and I also hope to be back very soon.
