Much better than how other reviews make it sound. I had the superior single room and it was newly renovated, clean, and modern, with a very comfortable bed. WiFi worked great. Breakfast was good ... similar every day, but fried eggs, sausage or ham, toast, coffee/tea, etc. prepared and brought to your table by a smiling waiter. All the staff had a basic level of English but if they got stuck, they used google translate. Location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main boulevard and metro stop. Residential neighborhood is safe, full of locals walking their dogs, waiting for the tram, etc. If you’re expecting a Soviet experience with spartan furnishings, horrendous food and surly service, you won’t find it here, fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your expectations!). Budget friendly and recommended.

The hotel is a bit out of the center, somewhat near Gorky Park. It is easy to reach from either the Train or Bus terminals by taking Tram 1, 4, or 7 just past Gorky Park, then head right for a block, then another right for about 200 meters. It is not elaborate, but the rooms are generally reasonable and generally some rooms available. One must pre book...why? I don't know. It is quiet place. It is an old USSR-type hotel...nothing too fancy. The restaurant downstairs is fairly good and reasonable. It is much more reliable than the "APARTMENTS" for rent, which one can never find, and they always claim you are not registered. and they are full. No one seems to speak English. I tried to stay 3 nights, and I have yet to even get in one...AVOID the "Apartments"..

Minsk is a beautiful city but it doesn't really cater for English speaking tourists. The hotel was very clean but third world as far as comfort. The restaurant plunges food at you that wasn't what you asked for and the menu was snatched from me with no explanation. I couldn't find anyone who was even remotely interested in listening to me. Except for one evening with a bar tender and his twin daughters. High fives girls

You get what you pay for. Cheap. Stained sheets.

Very nice hotel with excellent location located at the city center, extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff. They made our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops and place to visite are within walking distance. Additional thanksfull for delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody!

Interesting and conveniently located place (take any tram from the main station), owned I believe by the Belarussian ministry of defence. Very much a '70s Soviet throwback in style and appearance, but in good condition and quite comfortable with all expected mod-cons (though not aircon) - my (single) room was almost a mini-suite really. Registration as always in Belarus is a little time-consuming, but nothing exceptional. Breakfast in the adjoining café is the usual affair of ordering rather than a buffet, but quite OK and not slow. Location reasonably quite for a big city.
