Exactly what we needed.

Beautiful hotel, away from the hustle of downtown Barcelona but right next to a Metro and a Taxi hub. Also just down the street from a huge Mall. Great service, clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds. Rooftop pool, spa, gym. It was perfect.

There is no privacy in the bathroom because there is a window between the room and bathroom and the curtain they put is not thick enough for privacy. Nobody want to be seen by his/her freind while doing his job in the toilet or having a shower naked.

Sent a complaint direct to the hotel, without a reply, so here goes. Room not that well cleaned. Bath/shower is a death-trap. Water goes from warm, to scalding, when showering. Phone with no numbers/instructions for contacting reception. Left note on pillow for tissues, more tea-bags and anti-slip mat. Only the bathroom tissues arrived. Lots of TV channels, only 2 in English.

A pleasant stay at this hotel, clean and comfortable with great facilities. Location is slightly further away but there is a tram and metro station close by. Rooms were a little noisy as you could hear the noise in the corridors very clearly, other than that though a stay I’d recommend.

Loved the Echo breakfast buffet & comfy beds. Couldn’t get our air circulating, so it was very hot despite reading 18’C. The window between the bathroom & bedroom is bizarre & awkward unless traveling with your signific other. Why does anyone need/ want to see into the bathroom while their travel partner is bathing or sitting on the toilet??!!

The rooms are in a poor overall state, the door needs to be slammed for it to close properly, and even then the lock required fiddling for it to work The bathroom wasn't cleaned before my arrival (it was not properly flushed, so there was urine from the previous occupant), and the activation mechanism worked poorly. Big disappointment

1. Checked in early and were told to return at 3 pm, which we did. When we returned, we had to wait another 45 minutes just to get the room key because of a long line and under-staffing. 2. Asked a male front-desk staffer - the morning of June 22 - if the hotel provided beach towels. The response was quite rude: “No, and you are prohibited from using the room towels.” It seems like the staffer skipped the Courtesy 101 class. 3. The design of the room is worst I’ve experienced in 45 years of traveling. The bathroom has a window that allows others to look in even when you lower the window screen. Also, a book shelf inexplicably juts into the middle of the room. I ran into the shelf while attempting to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, resulting in bloody gash and a black eye. I’ll take responsibility for not being more careful, but I’m certain I’m not the only guest ever to experience this mishap. 4. At checkout, the front desk staffer didn’t ask about my stay. I hadn’t complained about any of the above so there was no way for her to know that my three-night stay had not met my expectations. The hotel is in a great location directly across from the beach in the Poble Nou neighborhood. It’s probably the only aspect of this hotel I would recommend to fellow travelers. Otherwise, you would be better off staying somewhere else.

My stay at the hotel was overall very disappointing due to the service at the front desk. Despite my request, I was assigned a handicap room and when I asked to change, there was no willingness to support. This experience has left me with no desire to return to this hotel in the future.

Front service was always polite but extremely slow; possibly due to whatever software they use. The 2nd floor room was fine except for an awful sewer smell that we couldn’t remove especially since the window couldn’t be opened more than a few cm. Very complicated and annoying light switch system. Best part of our stay was the vast selection at the breakfast buffet.
