The Lodge provided us a very relaxing weekend stay. Email communication before our arrival was prompt and thorough. The staff was friendly and helpful on-site. It's located in close proximity to roads, shops, and the fairgrounds. I'd stay here again, first choice.

Never again

I would never stay on the bottom floor again. You could hear every time the person was walking. The person must have been up multiple times at night each time waking us up. Could not get the tv to work. We also killed multiple cockroaches. I have sent the hotel two messages about our stay with no response.

It was a cute place in a great location for us. Overall it was a perfect getaway. The room had been updated and was really nice decor. The only thing I can think of was the bath was a little dated. No big deal to me but the wife wasn’t too sure about it. Lol Well supplied room, we didn’t used the grills but there were some nice ones out there available.

Close to perfect cabin stay

Everything with the Elk cabin was perfect with one exception. The sofa bed was not comfortable. My boys made it work, but asked to not have sofa beds in our future travels. Great location. Quiet location with beautiful view. Clean accomodations. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Shower was wonderful, however the water pressure was iffy at times. Appreciated the late arrival welcome.

The property was adequate but dated. The bed was too hard (personal preference) and squeaky. We had a 1st floor room and the ceiling above squeaked with any movement from the tenants above us. The noise from the highway was a bit annoying at times but diminished after about 10pm. Overall our stay was good.

I really liked the cabin feel of the room, and it was nice to have the option to sit outside. The first night was fairly warm, but the window open with the ceiling fan on worked really well. The bed wasn’t very comfortable & the pillows were terrible. Somewhere to put my suitcase other than the chair or fireplace would have been great. Some of the dishes were clean, some were not. The sponge was used and shriveled up, though I could have gotten it wet and microwaved it to sanitize it. The turn into the lodge coming down the hill is a little sketchy since it’s also a turn lane for oncoming cars. Overall it was okay & I might stay there again.

The room was very clean. Thank you for the fan. I didn't realize there was no air conditioning, but it was fine and room was always a nice temperature. The view was fantastic. The office was well stocked with items we needed and was always available. The hummingbird feeders are a nice touch. We would stay again.

Old School, Comfy and Cozy!

The "Deer" suite was a great option for a couple. We stayed for two nights and totally enjoyed the property as an affordable option near town with a very nice view. The property manager was very welcoming, and he does a great job keeping the units, which are older, in good repair. The queen bed was quite comfortable; the love seat was fine; the kitchen appliances worked well, and the kitchen was equipped with more than enough cookware and dinnerware for two. We loved the fireplace and the availability of bottled water, towels, books and DVD movies as needed/wanted using an old school low-tech honor system! Considering its charm and comfort, we didn't mind a few cracked tiles in the shower and the little bit of rust in the tub and sink. It was a clean, comfy, welcoming property with a happy vibe! The pictures were taken sitting in one of the chairs outside the Lakeside building.

Decent place with nice views. Room was comfortable and fire place was an added bonus. There was no one in the office and there were no specific instructions left for me. Manager did call me within 20 minutes and it all worked out.

We absolutely love this place. The views are amazing. It's quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to Lake Estes, on the edge of town away from the hustle and bustle. Second time staying here, will come back when we can. Thank you for another wonderful stay.
