I liked that the room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast room was exquisite and there were abundant food choices for all tastes. The staff was helpful and courteous. It is modern and the WiFi was strong. Overall it was excellent. Without any doubt, ai would choose to stay there again.

This is my third time staying at Berns, and usually recommend my American family to stay there when they visit. This time I had a bad experience, which could have been easily fixed with better service. There was a mini bottle of wine and a mini bag of chips on the table as we entered the room. We thought it was a welcome gift. We were charged 450 SEK for it upon check-out. We asked if there was anything that could be done, since it was a misunderstanding, but were refused. It felt like it was purposely put there without a price tag to get guests to make that mistake (also, 400 SEK for half a bottle of wine is quite aggressive pricing). I found the receptionist cold and unfriendly, and it really put a damper on my experience at Berns.

Unprofessional behaviour and ghosted by manager

We recently stayed at Berns hotel, over Easter weekend as it had been recommendedby Swedish friends. The room was a bit shabby but okay. The room was unbearably warm and even though we tried to regulate the thermostat we had to open the windows each night. This meant the sound of gulls in the night and morning contributed to the lack of sleep- i appreciate they cant do much about the bird noise. My main issue is that at no point during check in were we informed that breakfast time changed on mondays- this was a bank holiday monday. We were expected to know that this information is on the key card holder?!? When I complained about missing breakfast on monday morning I was told there was no manager available but one would be in touch. When I asked the name of the woman on reception she refused to tell me her name. I relayed this to the manager called Astrid, who emailed me that afternoon. I was informed that 'I will take your feedback to heart..I will also speak with the colleague who handled your check out to ensure situations like this do not occur again.' Then as a 'gesture of goodwill' she offered to compensate me and in a subsequent email informed me that she had 'made the compensation' and it would take three business days. Two weeks later, they have neither compensated me as promised or replied to my emails to clarify why they lied and are ignoring me. I would not have expected such an underhand and scheming response.A shoddy performance.

Personal var väldigt tillmötesgående och vi var nöjda med rum och frukosten. Tyvärr var det väldigt hög ljudvolym i rummen fram till 4 på natten vilket gjorde det nästan omöjligt att få sova. Förstår att det är nattklubb i samma byggnad men på ett 4 stjärnigt hotell förväntar jag mig att det finns lösningar så som ljudisolering så att man kan få sova genom natten.

Et veldig hyggelig hotell. Vennlig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Europas vakreste og mest storslagne frokostsal? I gamle Berns Salonger føler man historiens vingeslag, og i en av disse velholdte og godt bevarte salonger holdes frokosten. Må igjen få berømme betjeningen. De gjorde oppholdet mitt i Stockholm enda noen hakk bedre. Resten av hotellet er fint og rent og pent. Om jeg skal «klage» på noe, så må det være at rommet var litt kaldt. Men igjen, hadde jeg sagt ifra hadde det helt sikkert kunnet blitt ordnet. Et herlig opphold hadde jeg. Anbefales!
