It was during the week. Some of the places to dine and the bar areas were closed.

Best prices per night

Good, basically slept there, it was centrally located to places we were going and best price in atea. Wish we could have been at main resort instead of across road, so never utilized restaurants
Jay, 4-night trip

Room was ok but nothing else was as expected. Food was overpriced & limited selection. The buffet was closed & apparently has been for quite awhile.
Dean, 2-night trip

Only two tiny pillows per band not good pillows. Vending machines robbed you. Had to checkin at a totally separate hotel building.

Great staff, I had some personal issues and everyone was very accommodating, couldn't ask for a better stay.
William, 2-night trip

We stayed at the Lodge. Nicer rooms then the casino itself. You do have to walk to the casino if you stay at the Lodge. breakfast is $19+ a person. & You must go to the casino to get breakfast. It's a good buffet. If you stay at the casino hotel breakfast is free.
Barbara, 2-night trip

Only one place to eat on Saturday in the evening.
James, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was a good price. Would be nice if the lodge also had a pool. Also, it would be nice if kids could swim past 7pm in the pool. Other than that, the room was big and clean. Had everything we needed. Warm, friendly staff.
Kathleen, 3-night trip

Satisfactory

It was good! Only had a few items that we needed such as wash rags and bathmat that was missing and shower door that didn’t work right! Also the carts for luggage were not good at all!
Paulette, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

No staff at front desk, had to check in at main hotel- would be more difficult for someone who had limitations or handicapped. A good option for the area though- on website rooms were sold out and/or very high priced- Expedia had rooms available and very reasonably priced. Only two cars at hotel when we arrived!
Sunshine, 2-night trip

It was ok

The hotel is a bit run down. Stains on the curtains. Dents in the wall. Very run down but semi clean.

Aged furniture. The entire building lost power for nearly two hours would not recommend

Bad Experience

The room was dirty, cobwebs where behind the chair , night stands baseboards where filthy no one came to put linens in rm on the second day we where there, it’s pretty bad when the customer has to walk across the parking lot to go get their own linens and then walk back to their hotel with them. That’s pretty embarrassing.
William, 2-night trip

Golf at Rising Sun.

I went to a play golf. The course was in great shape. They put me in the Lodge which was across the parking lot from the casino. My room was nice because But housekeeping forgot to clean it out the refrigerator. The buffet was nice, but not worth thirty seven dollars. If you live in the southern indiana northern Kentucky area, I recommend it for a nice weekend getaway.
Cline, 1-night trip

I love the beautiful scenery and how clean everything was My only concern is that we didn't get clean towels or room service the whole time we were there. We saw the cleaning staff on our floor, but it looked as if they were only cleaning the vacant rooms. Had to use the same towels for 3 days 😞😞!

Dirty
Amy, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The toilet wasn’t flushed or cleaned from the pervious guest. There were used towels/dirty in the shower. The TV lost signal and was I op for the final day. For $245 a night no away in hell will I ever stay there or use this service again.
Thomas, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

A bathroom light was burned out. Pendant lights were dusty. The body wash provided in the shower was empty (an unfortunate finding when you’re already wet in the shower) no attendant at the building ( the front desk people are in another building)
