Very friendly staff, great architecture, quiet location with a parking place inviting a break in, beautiful, well sized room with a desk to work on and a splendid view into the greenery. Estimated age of the carpet about 25 years and it looks like it. Not exactly an invitation to walk barefoot. There was a bar of grime on the wall over the bed's head, probably caused by a wiping cloth drawn again and again over the bed's head and the wall next to it. The cleaning staff is obviously doing their job very well and are not to be held responsible for worn carpets and worn wall paint. Both shower doors came off their hinges and had to be replaced in upright position before it was possible to use the shower. When asking for a water boiler - which is standard in every hotel room in the Netherlands and Belgium - staff informed me that this would cost extra - it is not allowed to post rates here - but for a simple, standard water boiler it was an amazing rate. After refusing to pay for it staff was so friendly to make an exception, informing me at the same time that if I ever booked again a room at their hotel I'd have to pay extra for the water boiler. Please don't worry - it will not happen.
